CROCK POT TROPICAL APPLE CRISP
The flavors of traditional apple crisp mixed with orange marmalade, pineapple and coconut to give this classic dessert a tropical taste.

Steps:
- In a large bowl, combine apple cider and cornstarch until well blended.
- Add orange marmalade, apples, pineapple, coconut and spices.
- Transfer to a crock pot that has been sprayed with oil.
- In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients until crumbly.
- Crumble over top of mixture in crock pot.
- Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or on high for 2 hours.

CROCK POT APPLE CRISP DESSERT
I love using my crock pot and this smells wonderful while its cooking! I like to make this in the Fall when apples are at their best! This is very easy to make and very satisfying!

Steps:
- Generously spray a crock pot with non stick cooking spray, line with apples.
- Mix together flour, sugar, spices and margarine in a bowl.
- Cover the apples with this mixture.
- (Pack it on top.) Cook on high for 3-4 hours.
- Scoop out a portion and serve with any or all of the optional toppings: Vanilla ice cream, Whipped cream or whipped topping, if desired.
- * I use a medium size crock pot to make this. Using a large crock pot will probably not work well as the ingredients will be too spread out and may burn around the edges.

- Mix flour, brown sugar, 1/2 cup of white sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt together in a bowl. Combine butter with the flour mixture using fingers or a fork until coarse crumbs form. Stir in walnuts and set aside.
- Whisk together 1/3 cup sugar, cornstarch, ginger, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Place the apples in a slow cooker, stir in the cornstarch mixture; toss with lemon juice. Sprinkle the walnut crumb topping on top. Cover and cook on High for 2 hours or Low for 4 hours, until apples are tender. Partially uncover the slow cooker to allow the topping to harden, about 1 hour.

I used a similar recipe on here but the topping was too doughy. So I tried it with oatmeal added to the top part and it was much better. And it added some oalmeal goodness.I used McIntosh apples because I like apples that cook down.

- 2.Mix together flour, brown sugar, and oatmeal. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until you get pea size pieces of butter. in a bowl.
- 3. Cover the apples with this mixture.
- 4. Pack the flour-oatmeal-brown sugar-butter mixture. Cook on high for 3 hours.
- 5. Use a medium size crock pot to make this. Using a large crock pot will probably not work well as the ingredients will be too spread out and may burn around the edges.
- 6. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
