2 pounds round steak ((cut into bite size pieces))
1 cup beef broth
1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
1 Tablespoon minced garlic
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 Tablespoons Sesame oil
2 Tablespoons cornstarch
2 Tablespoons cold water
1 Broccoli Crown ((cut into bite size pieces))
1 tablespoon sesame seeds ((optional))

Steps:

  • Place the steak in a slow cooker. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the beef broth, soy sauce, minced garlic, brown sugar and sesame oil. Pour this mixture on top of the steak in the crock pot.
  • Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or on high for 3 hours until the beef is tender.
  • Whisk together the cornstarch and cold water in a small mixing bowl. Stir this mixture into the slow cooker.
  • Then stir in the broccoli and cook on low for about 30 minutes or until sauce is thickened and broccoli is cooked through.
  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve immediately over rice.

1 cup beef broth
½ cup low sodium soy sauce
¼ cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon sesame oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
4 tablespoons cornstarch
4 tablespoons water
1 head broccoli, cut into florets
white rice, cooked, for serving

Steps:

  • In the insert of the crockpot, whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and brown sugar.
  • Place slices of beef in the liquid and toss to coat.
  • Cover with lid and cook on low heat for 4 hours.
  • After 4 hours, whisk together cornstarch and water in small bowl. Pour into crock pot, add the broccoli and gently stir to combine.
  • Cover with lid and cook 30 minutes to cook broccoli and thicken sauce.
  • Serve with warm white rice.

2 cups beef broth
1/2 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons sesame oil
1 garlic cloves, minced
1 beef top sirloin steak (1-1/2 pounds), cut into 1/2-inch-thick strips
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 cup cold water
4 cups fresh broccoli florets
Hot cooked rice
Optional: Sesame seeds and thinly sliced green onions

Steps:

  • In a 5-qt. slow cooker, combine the first 5 ingredients. Add beef; stir to coat. Cover and cook on low until tender, about 6 hours. , In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch and cold water until smooth; stir into slow cooker. Cover and cook on high until thickened, about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, place a steamer basket over 1 in. of water. Place broccoli in basket. Bring water to a boil. Reduce heat to maintain a simmer; steam, covered, until crisp-tender, 3-4 minutes. Stir broccoli into slow cooker. Serve over rice. If desired, garnish with optional ingredients.

This Crock Pot beef and broccoli is my husband's favorite meal.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 lb boneless beef chuck roast, sliced into thin strips
1 c beef consumme
1/2 c soy sauce
1/3 c brown sugar
1 Tbsp sesame oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 Tbsp cornstarch
2 Tbsp cooled sauce from the crock pot after being cooked
fresh broccoli florets (as many as desired)
hot cooked rice

Steps:

  • 1. Place beef in a crock pot.
  • 2. In a small bowl, combine consomme, soy sauce, brown sugar, oil, and garlic. Pour over beef. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  • 3. In a cup, stir cornstarch and sauce form the crock pot until smooth. Add to crock pot. Stir well to combine. (If your sauce is not thickening, try bringing your sauce to a boil on the stovetop with the corn starch mixture. Boil until your desired consistency is reached).
  • 4. Add broccoli to the crock pot. Stir to combine.
  • 5. Cover and cook an additional 30 minutes on high (the sauce has to boil for it to thicken).
  • 6. Serve over hot cooked rice.

  • Slice the beef chuck into thin slices
  • In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, soy sauce, and beef consomme
  • Add the sliced meat and consomme mixture to the crockpot
  • 30 mins before cooking time is over, take out some sauce from the crockpot, let it cool for a few minutes, mix it with the cornstarch and add again to the pot again to thicken the sauce. Also, add your broccoli florets at this time. Serve over rice

1 beef bouillon cube
1 cup warm water
½ cup soy sauce
⅓ cup brown sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 ½ pounds beef sirloin, cut into 1-inch strips
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 pounds broccoli florets, or to taste
2 cups cooked jasmine rice
1 tablespoon sesame seeds, for garnish

Steps:

  • Crumble beef bouillon cube into warm water in a bowl and stir to dissolve; add soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and sesame oil and stir to dissolve sugar.
  • Put beef strips into a slow cooker crock. Pour sauce mixture over the beef.
  • Cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours (or on High for 4 hours).
  • Spoon 2 tablespoons liquid from the slow cooker into a bowl. Whisk cornstarch into the liquid and stir the cornstarch mixture into the liquid in the slow cooker until consistent in color.
  • Cook on High until the sauce thickens, about 30 minutes.
  • Place a steamer insert into a saucepan and fill with water to just below the bottom of the steamer. Bring water to a boil.
  • Cook broccoli in covered steamer until tender, 2 to 6 minutes; add to sauce in slow cooker and stir to coat.
  • Ladle broccoli beef over portions of cooked jasmine rice and garnish with sesame seeds.

1 cup low-sodium beef broth
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup oyster sauce
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
2 teaspoons chili-garlic paste (or Sriracha, or 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, plus additional to taste)
2 teaspoons minced garlic (about 2 large cloves)
2 tablespoons cornstarch
5 cups broccoli florets (about 2 small crowns)
Prepared brown rice ( or quinoa for serving)
Chopped green onions ( and toasted sesame seeds optional for serving)

Steps:

  • Coat a 4-quart or larger slow cooker with nonstick spray. Place the beef in the bottom.
  • In a small bowl, stir together the beef broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, rice vinegar, chili-garlic paste, and garlic.
  • Pour over the beef, then stir to combine. Cover and cook on LOW for 1 1/2 hours.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup of water and cornstarch. Stir into the slow cooker with the beef and sauce, then place the broccoli on top.
  • Cover, turn the heat to HIGH, and cook another 30 minutes until the broccoli is tender. Serve warm over rice, sprinkled with green onions and sesame seeds as desired.
