  • Add almond bark followed by semi-sweet chocolate chips to slow cooker. Cover the top of the slow cooker with a kitchen towel or paper towels before adding the lid. This will catch condensation that can drip onto the chocolate when you lift the lid to stir which can cause the chocolate to seize.
  • Melt chocolate on LOW for 1 1/2-2 hours, stirring every 20 minutes, until completely melted. Add German chocolate and stir until completely melted (this will temper the chocolate). Add all of the peanuts and stir until evenly coated.
  • Line your counter with a long row of parchment paper OR if gift giving, line with mini cupcake liners. Drop peanuts by the tablespoon onto parchment/liners. Sprinkle with sea salt if desired but DON'T wait until all the chocolate clusters are dropped before sprinkling with sea salt or the first few will have already hardened. Allow to set completely, approximately 45-60 minutes.

  • Cook on low with the cover on. DO NOT cook on high. Crock pots can vary, so check the chocolate at 90 minutes into cooking. It is done when you can mix everything completely. It will take about 2 hours normally.
  • Allow to cool for a few minutes to firm up slightly. Then spoon heaping spoonfuls onto parchment paper. Try not to make them too big. It is candy, not cookies.

  • Layer all of the ingredients in order in a 6-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 2 hours. [NOTE: While I have made this multiple times without an issue, it seems that many people have experienced the ingredients burning. I would recommend stirring all of the ingredients together and checking on it and stirring every 30 minutes to avoid an issue.]
  • Remove the lid and stir to combine. If not all of the chocolate is melted, cover and cook for an additional 30 minutes on low.
  • Using a spoon or cookie scoop, scoop mounds of the clusters onto parchment-lined baking sheets. Allow to sit at room temperature until completely set, 1 to 2 hours. The clusters can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month. They also freeze very well!

  • Place the lid on a slow cooker. Cook on LOW for about 1.5 hours. This timing will depend on your slow cooker. STIR OFTEN. This will burn if left too long since it's real chocolate.
  • Turn off the slow cooker after the chocolate has completely melted. Remove the insert out of the base onto pot holders.
  • Line 3 baking sheets with parchment or wax paper. Scoop the mixture onto cookie sheets on the lined baking sheets. I use a medium-sized cookie scoop, though you can use 2 tablespoons, use one to scoop and one to scrape the mixture onto the pans. Flatten the mixture into a flat cookie shape.

  • Start out with a crockpot. Put the peanuts in the bottom. Top with the chocolate chips, white almond bark and German chocolate. I forgot to buy German chocolate, so I threw in some Hershey kisses instead. Work with what you got!
  • Next turn on the crock pot to low and let the chocolate melt. This takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. It will look like this when it's done. Don't worry, it just needs a good stir.
  • Once you stir it, it will look like this. Starting to look better, isn't it? In fact, I dare you to not take a spoonful to sample it!
  • Now, line cookie sheets with waxed paper and drop the mixture by the spoonful onto the waxed paper. I used a cookie scoop for this and it made it unimaginably easy. I recommend one like this Oxo Good Grips Small Cookie Scoop. (Affiliate link: As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.) I don't know what I ever did before cookie scoops!
