1 pound chicken, diced

Steps:

  • Combine chicken broth, teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, and garlic in a large bowl. Add chicken and toss with the sauce until well mixed. Pour into the slow cooker.
  • Cook on Low until chicken is done, 4 to 6 hours.

An easy recipe for Crock Pot Teriyaki Chicken that takes less than 10 minutes to prep! Delicious, healthy, and so much better than takeout!

1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
2/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
3 tablespoons rice vinegar
3 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 clove garlic (minced)
1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon cornstarch
Toasted sesame seeds (for serving)
Chopped green onions (for serving)
Prepared brown rice

Steps:

  • Place the chicken thighs in the bottom of a 6-quart or larger slow cooker.
  • In a medium bowl or large measuring cup, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger. Pour over the chicken thighs.
  • Cover and cook on high for 2 hours or low for 4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through. Remove the chicken to a plate and shred with two forks. Strain the cooking liquid through a mesh sieve and into a medium saucepan.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water until smooth. Add to the strained cooking liquid, whisk to incorporate, then heat the saucepan over medium high, stirring constantly until the sauce bubbles. Continue cooking and stirring until glossy and thickened, 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Add the chicken to the sauce. Toss to coat. Serve warm with rice or quinoa, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions as desired.

1 tbsp olive oil
3 chicken breasts
1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
1/2 cup hoisin sauce
4 cloves garlic, minced
4 scallions, sliced (optional, for garnish)
Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
2 cups cooked rice
1 bunch broccoli, steamed

Steps:

  • Add olive oil, chicken, soy sauce, hoisin sauce and garlic to Crock Pot in that order, then cook on low for 8 hours.
  • Meanwhile, make side dishes if desired. To steam broccoli, I usually use a steamer or boil in water for 2 minutes on the stove before draining.
  • To make rice: Add 1 cup dry white rice, 2 cups water and 1 tsp of butter to a rice cooker.
  • When chicken is done cooking, shred or dice into bite-sized pieces then add overtop of rice and serve with broccoli. Enjoy!

1 young roasting chickens
1 cup bottled teriyaki marinade
1 (1 lb) package birds eye broccoli carrots and water chestnut mix
1 (1 lb) package Birds Eye Seven Vegetable Stir Fry (with broccoli, carrots, onions, red peppers, celery, water chestnuts & mushrooms)
1/3 cup soy sauce
4 cups hot cooked rice

Steps:

  • Marinate the chicken in the marinade overnight, flipping a couple of times.
  • Remove chicken from marinade and let excess drip off (there will be a lot).
  • Place vegetables in crock pot.
  • Place chicken breast side down on top of vegetables.
  • Pour soy sauce over the top of the chicken.
  • Cover and cook on LOW until thermometer reads 170F (6 hours).
  • Let sit uncovered in crock pot 5 minutes before serving.
  • Serve chicken and vegetables over rice.

1/2 C low sodium soy sauce
1/3 C light brown sugar, packed
3 cloves minced garlic
2 t chopped fresh ginger
1 t crushed red pepper
2 Tbsp ketchup
1/3 C cold water
2 T corn starch
16 oz fresh or frozen broccoli
cooked brown or jasmine rice, for serving

Steps:

  • Spray your crock pot with non-stick cooking spray. Trim all the extra fat from the chicken thighs and place in the crock pot. Mix the soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger and ketchup together and add it to the crock pot. Set it on high for 3 1/2 hours or low for 7 hours. Remove chicken from the pot. Make a slurry with the water and corn starch and add to the crock pot stirring until thickened. Blanch the broccoli in boiling water until crisp and add it to the pot along with the chicken to coat it with the sauce. Serve over rice.

Pour a thin layer into the bottom of a 6-quart or larger slow cooker (about one-third of the sauce). Arrange the chicken breasts on top. Pour on the remaining sauce.
  • In a small bowl, stir together the 2 tablespoons cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water to create a slurry, then add to the slow cooker, pouring into the liquid around the chicken.   • Stir the broccoli around in the sauce to smooth the sauce out a bit. Return the chicken to the slow cooker and add the sesame oil and green onion. Stir to combine. Taste and adjust seasonings as desired. Serve hot over rice with a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

2015-12-16 I didn’t have any chicken mince, so I diced some thighs, and added some broccoli and carrots, also I misread the recipe and browned the onions with the chicken. I used 1 cup raw parboiled rice and a bit under 3 cups of hot water and left it all to cook on low for about 5 hours. It was really nice ad the rice was nicely cooked and not mushy at all.
