Steps:
- Trim brisket of all visible fat, cut to fit 4 qt or larger crockpot, if necessary.
- Place onion, celery, potatoes and carrots in bottom of crockpot, lay brisket on top.
- Whisk together bouillon, bay leaf, garlic, Worcestershire sauce and dry mustard.
- Pour over brisket, cover pot.
- Cook on low setting for 8 to 10 hours, adding cabbage wedges and caraway seed for the last hour of cooking.
- To serve, discard cooking liquid, slice meat onto hot serving plates, accompany with the cooked potatoes, carrots, celery, cabbage wedges and your favourite mustard.

Steps:
- Place corned beef brisket, fat side up, into a 6-qt slow cooker.
- Add the pickling spice tea usually comes with corned beef on top of the brisket.
- Minced 4 garlic cloves and add them to the slow cooker.
- Pierce the beef with a sharp knife, and stuff with 4 garlic cloves. Add the remaining 4 whole cloves to the slow cooker.
- Cut the peeled onion in 4 and add it to the crockpot.
- Add the bay leaves.
- Pour beef broth and the water over the brisket add more water as needed to lightly cover the brisket by about 1/2 inch.
- Cover and cook on low heat for 8-10 hours, until tender.
- If you want to add carrots and potatoes, add them to the slow cooker after the first 3-4 hours of cooking have passed. Cabbage is added during the last 2 hours of cooking.
- Thinly slice the corned beef against the grain.
- Garnish with parsley and serve with carrots and potatoes.

- Remove the corned beef from the package.
- Place the corned beef brisket (fat side up), carrots and potatoes in a slow cooker. Add 3 cups of water to the slow cooker, plus the seasoning packet that comes in the corned beef package.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours.
- Add the cabbage on top of the corned beef and cook on LOW for another 2 hours.
- Remove the cabbage, corned beef, potatoes and carrots from the slow cooker. Slice the corned beef against the grain.
- Place the butter, garlic, parsley and salt and pepper in a small bowl. Microwave in 30 second increments or until melted.
- Drizzle the garlic butter over the carrots, potatoes and cabbage. Place the meat, potatoes and vegetables on a platter and serve with mustard on the side if desired.

- Combine the water vinegar, sugar, pepper and onions, in a 6 qt crock pot and mix well.
- Place corned beef and contents of spice packet in the mixture.
- Scatter the potatoes and carrots over the top and along the sides.
- Cover and cook on high heat setting 4 hours.
- Remove the lid and scatter the cabbage wedges over the top.
- Cover and continue cooking on low 3-4 hours longer, or until beef is tender.
- To serve, carve the beef into slices against the grain and serve with the cabbage and potatoes, with some of the cooking liquid spooned on top of the beef to keep it moist.

- Layer the potatoes, carrots, onions, celery and thyme in the insert of a 6-quart slow cooker. Put the brisket on top of the vegetables and add the beer and pickling spice. Add enough water to just cover the brisket. Cover and cook on low until the meat and vegetables are tender, about 8 hours.
- Arrange the cabbage over the brisket (it's OK if the cooker seems crowded), cover and cook until soft and wilted, 45 minutes to 1 hour more.
- Whisk together the sour cream, horseradish and mustard in a small bowl.
- Remove the cabbage and toss with 1 tablespoon of the butter and pepper to taste in a large bowl. Remove the meat and let rest. - 1. Combine water, vinegar, sugar and pepper, in the bottom of a 6 quart slow cooker. Mix well. Then place the onion into the water mixture. Add bay leaf. Place the rinsed brisket on top of the onions, sprinkle with seasoning packet. Scatter the potatoes and carrots over the top and along the sides of the brisket. Cover and turn pot to high. - You will need a large crock pot for this. Put the potatoes in the bottom of the crock pot, pierced once with a fork.
- Put the corned beef on top of the potatoes along with the juices from the bag.
- Run water in the bag and measure one cup and add to the pot.
- Quarter 3 medium sized onions and put on top of the meat and add carrots. Put lid on pot and cook on low 8-10 hours .

- Place eye round in crock pot. Add carrots and chopped onion around the side of it. Add can of soup and beef broth. "Smear" mustard and horseradish on the eye round. Add cabbage. - In a 6 quart crock-pot add the onion, potatoes, and carrot. Nestle in the corned beef w/ pickling spice - fat side up. Pour the chicken broth over the top. If the broth does not cover the brisket, add enough water to come ~ 1/2 way up the beef.
- Cook on low for 7-9 hours or until tender. When the beef is tender, add the cabbage to the crockpot and cook for an additional hour. Sometimes there is not enough room for the cabbage to fit in the crockpot and it can get crazy frustrating trying to shove it all in. If this is the case, bring a large pot of water to a boil, throw in the cabbage, and cook for ~ 7-9 minutes or until desired doneness. Strain and set aside.
- Remove the brisket, let cool, and slice across the grain. Throw the cooked cabbage in the crockpot with the rest of the ingredients and then strain a big cup full or two of veggies on your plate and add the sliced corned beef.
- Serve by itself or with sharp mustard or sour cream with horseradish. Happy St. Patrick's Day! Beckie
