Crockpot beef and beans, a meal in one pot. this is an easy beef and bean dinner recipe for the slow cooker, or use it as a side dish for barbecue.

1 pound lean ground beef
12 ounces bacon (diced)
1 cup onion (chopped)
2 (16 ounces each) cans pork and beans
1 (15 to 16 ounces) can kidney beans (drained)
1 (15 to 16 ounces) can butter limas (drained)
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons liquid smoke
3 tablespoons white vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Brown ground beef in a skillet
  • Drain off fat and put beef in slow cooker/crock pot.
  • Brown bacon and onions.
  • Drain off fat from the bacon and onions.
  • Add bacon, onions and remaining ingredients to slow cooker/crock pot.
  • Stir together well.
  • Cover and cook on low 4 to 9 hours.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Five items come together to create a down-home dinner of zesty beef ribs and baked beans.

1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
3 slices bacon, chopped
1 1/2 lb boneless beef chuck ribs
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
3 cans (16 oz each) baked beans

Steps:

  • In 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker, mix onion and bacon. Top with beef. Pour barbecue sauce over beef.
  • Cover; cook on Low heat setting 8 to 10 hours.
  • Remove beef from cooker; place on cutting board. Cut beef into 1/2-inch pieces. Pour juices from cooker through strainer into small bowl, reserving onion, bacon and 1/2 cup juices. Return beef, onion, bacon and 1/2 cup juices to cooker. Stir in baked beans. Increase heat setting to High. Cover; cook 40 to 50 minutes or until thoroughly heated.

3 cups dry navy beans, soaked overnight or boiled for one hour
1 ½ cups ketchup
1 ½ cups water
¼ cup molasses
1 large onion, chopped
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon salt
6 slices thick cut bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 cup brown sugar

Steps:

  • Drain soaking liquid from beans, and place them in a Slow Cooker.
  • Stir ketchup, water, molasses, onion, mustard, salt, bacon, and brown sugar into the beans until well mixed.
  • Cover, and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours, stirring occasionally if possible, though not necessary.

2 lbs ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
2 -3 tablespoons fresh minced garlic
2 stalks celery, diced
1 -2 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
2 -4 teaspoons dried chili pepper flakes
3 carrots, peeled and coarsely chopped
2 green bell peppers, seeded and chopped (or use red bell peppers)
2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
1/4 cup beer
1/3 cup barbecue sauce
3 tablespoons sugar
2 cups canned mushroom slices
1 (28 ounce) can baked beans (Heinz is good!)
2 (15 ounce) cans red kidney beans
seasoning salt or white salt
black pepper

Steps:

  • In a large pot or skillet brown the ground beef with onions, garlic, celery, jalapeno peppers and chili flakes until the beef is no longer pink; drain fat.
  • Add in all the remaining ingredients; stir to combine bring to a simmer then transfer to the crock pot (or simmer on top of the stove over very low heat for about 3 hours).
  • Cover and cook on LOW heat for about 5 hours.
  • Season with salt and pepper about halfway through cooking.

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 (16 ounce) cans pork and beans in tomato sauce, undrained

Steps:

  • Cook bacon in large skillet until lightly browned.
  • Remove from skillet; drain on paper towels. Discard bacon drippings in skillet; brown the ground beef and onion until beef is no longer pink.

1 teaspoon prepared mustard

Steps:

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir hamburger and bacon together in the hot skillet until hamburger is browned and crumbly, 7 to 10 minutes.
  • Stir cooked hamburger and bacon, baked beans with pork, kidney beans, lima beans, onions, ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard together in the bottom of your slow cooker.

1 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)
1 large sweet onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 cans (14-1/2 ounces each) diced tomatoes with mild green chiles
2 cans (15 ounces each) pinto beans, rinsed and drained
2 cans (15 ounces each) black beans, rinsed and drained
2 to 3 tablespoons chili powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
Optional toppings: sour cream, chopped red onion and minced fresh cilantro

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook beef, onion and garlic over medium heat 6-8 minutes or until beef is no longer pink, breaking up beef into crumbles; drain., Transfer beef mixture to a 5-qt. slow cooker. Drain one can of tomatoes, discarding liquid; add to slow cooker. Stir in beans, chili powder, cumin, salt and remaining tomatoes. Cook, covered, on low 6-8 hours to allow flavors to blend., Mash beans to desired consistency. Serve with toppings as desired., Freeze option: Freeze cooled chili in freezer containers.
