Steps:
- Place apples in large bowl; add granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons flour and the cinnamon. Stir until apples are evenly coated.
- Spray 4- to 5-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Place apple mixture into slow cooker.
- In large bowl, mix 1/2 cup flour, the oats, brown sugar and salt. Stir until well combined. Using fork or pastry blender, cut cold butter into mixture until crumbly. Sprinkle over apple mixture. Cover and cook on High heat setting 2 hours. Turn off heat; remove cover, and cool 30 minutes.
- Serve warm with a scoop of your favorite ice cream.

CROCK POT APPLE CRUMB CRISP
Wanted to make something for dessert so I threw a few things together and came up with a simple Apple crisp. You'll need just four basic ingredients to make this comforting dessert. Started at 4:00 pm and had a warm dessert at 6:00 pm. Serve with whipped cream or al-a-mode.

Steps:
- Place pie filling in large bowl. Break up apples with a pastry blender/cutter.
- Place half of cinnamon topping with apple filling and place in a 1-1/2 quart slow cooker.
- Combine dry cake mix, 3 Tablespoons of cinnamon topping and butter (mixture will be crumbly); sprinkle over filling.
- Sprinkle with remaining cinnamon topping and walnuts if desired. Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours. Serve in bowls.

- Mix flour, brown sugar, 1/2 cup of white sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt together in a bowl. Combine butter with the flour mixture using fingers or a fork until coarse crumbs form. Stir in walnuts and set aside.
- Whisk together 1/3 cup sugar, cornstarch, ginger, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Place the apples in a slow cooker, stir in the cornstarch mixture; toss with lemon juice. Sprinkle the walnut crumb topping on top. Cover and cook on High for 2 hours or Low for 4 hours, until apples are tender. Partially uncover the slow cooker to allow the topping to harden, about 1 hour.

I used a similar recipe on here but the topping was too doughy. So I tried it with oatmeal added to the top part and it was much better. And it added some oalmeal goodness.I used McIntosh apples because I like apples that cook down.

Steps:
- 1.Generously spray a crock pot with non stick cooking spray, line with apples. Sprinkle the white sugar and cinnamon over top.
- 2.Mix together flour, brown sugar, and oatmeal. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until you get pea size pieces of butter. in a bowl.
- 3. Cover the apples with this mixture.
- 4. Pack the flour-oatmeal-brown sugar-butter mixture. Cook on high for 3 hours.
- 5. Use a medium size crock pot to make this. Using a large crock pot will probably not work well as the ingredients will be too spread out and may burn around the edges.
- 6. Serve with vanilla ice cream.

Crock pot cooking! Who doesn't love it? This is an easy delicious dessert. It is full of the flavors of Apples and cinnamon. I tweaked a recipe I had and made it awesome. Enjoy!

- 1. NOTE; COOK ON HIGH FOR 1 HOUR,OR COOK ON LOW FOR 2 HOURS. WHEN APPLES ARE TENDER SHUT POT OFF AND UNCOVER. i ALSO BROWNED THE TOP FOR 3 MINUTES UNDER THE BROILER IN OVEN.
- 2. Spray inside of crock pot with cooking oil spray. Chop apples and toss with lemon juice. Set aside.
- 3. Mix all ingredients together for bottom of dessert. Toss with the apples, and place in bottom of crock pot.
- 4. Make Streusel- mix all ingredients together except oatmeal. And nuts. Place in food processor and pulse until butter mixture looks like peas. Remove and toss with oats. And nuts.
- 5. Sprinkle over top of apples in crock pot. Cover and cook about 1- 2 hours or until apples are tender. Uncover and let sit 30 minutes before serving. Top with ice cream or whipped cream for alamode.
