CRISPIX MUNCH



Crispix Munch image

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 cup slivered almond
1/2 cup margarine or butter
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup corn syrup
1/3 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
3 cups Crispix® sweetened multi-grain cereal

Steps:

  • 1. Foil-line a 17 x 14-inch cookie sheet. Lightly butter and set aside.2. In heavy 12-inch fry pan, over medium heat, cook almonds, margarine, sugar, corn syrup and water, stirring constantly, until mixture starts to boil. Cook and stir about 12 minutes longer or until almonds start to brown. Remove from heat.3. Carefully stir vanilla and almond flavoring into hot mixture. Add KELLOGG'S CRISPIX cereal and gently stir to evenly coat cereal. Spread mixture on prepared cookie sheet. Cool completely. Break in pieces. Store in airtight container.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 large box crispix cereal
1 1/2 stick(s) butter
1/3 cup(s) light corn syrup
1 1/2 cup(s) brown sugar
1 1/2 tablespoon(s) watkins caramel extract
1/2 teaspoon(s) baking soda

Steps:

  • Bring butter, syrup, sugar and extract to a boil for 1 1/2 minutes.
  • Stir in baking soda.
  • Pour over cereal in a large pan.
  • Bake in 200 degree oven for 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes.

In heavy 12-inch fry pan, over medium heat, cook almonds, margarine, sugar, corn syrup and water, stirring constantly, until mixture starts to boil. Cook and stir about 12 minutes longer or until almonds start to brown. Remove from heat. Carefully stir vanilla and almond flavoring into hot mixture. Add KELLOGG'S CRISPIX cereal and gently stir to coat cereal. Spread mixture onto prepared baking sheet. Cool completely.3. Break munch into pieces. Store in airtight container.
