Easy Apple Crisp image

This Easy Apple Crisp recipe is the perfect way to enjoy a bounty of fresh fruit! You'll love the warmly spiced apple filling that's topped with a buttery, crunchy oat streusel.

6 cups peeled, sliced apples (about 6 medium apples)
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon lemon juice
¾ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
¼ teaspoon salt
¾ cup oats (quick or old-fashioned work well)
½ cup (1 stick) salted butter, melted
½ cup chopped pecans
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease a 9-inch square baking dish, a 10-inch cast iron skillet, or an 11 x 7-inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, stir together filling ingredients. Transfer filling to prepared dish and set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, stir together topping ingredients. Sprinkle over the apples.
  • Bake, uncovered, for 45 minutes - 55 minutes (until apples are tender and topping is golden brown).

5 c tart apples, cored, peeled and sliced thin
1/2 c quick cooking oats
1/2 c all purpose flour
1 c brown sugar, firmly packed
1 Tbsp white sugar
1/2 c butter, softened
3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
3/4 tsp ground nutmeg
whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for topping, if desired

Steps:

  • 1. Spread the apples in a lightly greased (or sprayed) loaf pan.
  • 2. In a large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, oats, white sugar, butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir until thoroughly incorporated.
  • 3. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apples.
  • 4. Bake in a preheated 375-degree oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are done.

1 can(s) large can pumpkin or 2 16oz cans
1 can(s) evaporated milk, (large can)
1 c sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
3 eggs
1 box yellow cake mix
1 c chopped pecans
2 stick melted butter
TOPPING
1 oz cream cheese
1 whipped topping carton
1/2 c confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Mix together the pumpkin, milk, sugar, cinnamon and eggs.
  • 2. Pour mixture into 9x13x2 pan lined with wax paper. (This keeps the dessert from sticking to the pan.)
  • 3. Crumble dry cake mix over pumpkin mixture. Sprinkle with crumbled nuts, then pour melted butter over the top.
  • 4. Bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes. Turn upside down onto a platter and remove wax paper. Allow to cool thoroughly. When cooled, cover with topping mixture and refrigerate.

1/2 c sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
4 c granny smith apples, peeled and diced
1 c brown sugar
1 c all-purpose flour
7 Tbsp butter
1/2 c chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • 1. Stir water, sugar, and cinnamon together in the bottom of a 7X11-inch baking dish.
  • 2. Stir in apples.
  • 3. In a medium-sized bowl using a pastry cutter, mix together brown sugar, flour, and butter.
  • 4. Stir in walnuts and coat well with flour mixture until crumbly.
  • 5. Then sprinkle on top of apples.
  • 6. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes and serve warm.

6-7 c apples, peeled & sliced thin
1/8 c sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
TOPPING
3/4 c packed brown sugar
1/2 c flour
3/4 c quick-cooking or old-fashioned oats
1/2 c butter, softened (not melted)
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375. Grease bottom & sides of an 8x8 square pan with shortening.
  • 2. In a small bowl, mix together 1/8 c of sugar and 1/4 tsp cinnamon.
  • 3. Toss together with the peeled, thinly sliced apples until coated evenly.
  • 4. Spread apples in the bottom of the pan.
  • 5. Mix together all topping ingredients except butter. Once mixed, add butter.
  • 6. Mix well. I find it easiest to use my hands to incorporate the butter into the mixture.
  • 7. Sprinkle evenly over apple mixture.
  • 8. Bake about 40-45 minutes at 375 until topping is golden brown. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, if desired.

1 large egg
1 stick(s) butter

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. Use a 9x13 pan and place your sliced or chunked apples in the bottom.
  • In a bowl combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Use half of that and sprinkle over the apples.
  • In another bowl combine flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and egg. Use a fork or hands to make a crumbly mixture. Sprinkle entire bowl over the apples.
  • Next, sprinkle the rest of the brown sugar mixture.
  • Top with melted stick of butter.
  • Bake approx 40 minutes.
  • All I gotta say about this is YUM!
