This is the BEST homemade pimento cheese. Make this classic southern recipe with just just 6 simple ingredients plus salt and pepper and can be whipped up in as little as 15 minutes. Keep the recipe handy because anyone and everyone that tries it will be asking for it!

16 oz sharp cheddar cheese (grated)
8 oz cream cheese (softened)
1/2 cup mayonnaise
4 oz chopped pimentos (drained)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp dried onion flakes
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl. With an electric mixer mix the cheese on low to combine and then on high for 1 minute.
  • Place the cheese in an airtight container and refrigerate for at least two hours so the flavors can meld.
  • Serve with crackers, chips, as a sandwich, or on veggies. Enjoy!

8 ounces extra-sharp cheddar cheese
8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 4 ounce jar chopped pimentos, drained
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
salt to taste

Steps:

  • Using a box grater or food processor, grate cheese.
  • To a large bowl, add cream cheese, mayonnaise, cayenne pepper, and black pepper. Mix together using a hand mixer or wooden spoon. Add-in cheese and pimentos. Blend together until well mixed. Taste and add salt if needed.
  • Place in refrigerator for at least 1 hour prior to serving to chill and let flavors marry. Will keep in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

8 oz block sharp Cheddar cheese (grated or 2 cups shredded)
1 4-oz jar diced pimentos, drained

Steps:

  • In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment or beaters, combine the cream cheese, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, 1/4 teaspoon salt, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Transfer the contents of the food processor to a large mixing bowl. Add the diced pimentos and stir everything together to combine. Taste and adjust seasoning, if necessary. (I usually add about 1/4 teaspoon more salt, but it depends on the saltiness of the cheese.)
