- In a Dutch oven, combine milk, water and macaroni; bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer until macaroni is tender and almost all the cooking liquid has been absorbed, 12-15 minutes, stirring frequently. Reduce heat to low; stir in cheeses until melted. Season with salt and pepper.

- When unit switches to keep warm, open lid, stir, close lid and leave on keep warm for at least five more minutes.

BEST ONE POT CHEESE AND MACARONI
This recipe uses less milk and no thickener what-so-ever! Very cheesy, too! You can either serve it from the pot, or top with buttered crumbs and put in 350 oven to brown for half an hour, but we like ours fine without.

- Pour water and salt into a medium pot and bring to a rolling boil over high heat. Once the water is boiling, stir in the shell pasta, and return to a boil. Cook the pasta uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the water has cooked down a bit, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the milk, and continue boiling for another 5 minutes. Add the Cheddar, Parmesan, pepper, and mustard; stir until the cheese melts and the sauce is thick and creamy. The starch from the pasta thickens the sauce as the pasta cooks.

- In a large heavy pot or dutch oven, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and continue to whisk and cook for 1 minute to create a roux. Whisk about 2/3 cup of milk and continue whisking - it will thicken up pretty quickly.
- Continue to whisk in remaining milk until smooth. Then add water, salt, black pepper, and seasonings.
- Pour in uncooked macaroni and continue stirring occasionally as it heats up and starts to boil. Lower heat and allow to cook for 11-13 minutes, stirring regularly. Once the sauce thickens and the macaroni is just cooked and tender, turn off heat and stir the cheeses in quickly. (The sauce thickens and reduces considerably after adding cheese). Remove from heat and adjust seasonings by adding more salt, black pepper, and other seasonings to taste.
- Stir in toasted panko crumbs or any optional add-ins and serve immediately with fresh parsley. (Or feel free to toss under the broiler or in the oven for a few minutes for an extra crunchy crust).

- Over medium/medium low heat, bring up the mixture to a nice low simmer. Make sure to stir frequently so that the pasta does not stick.
- Once simmering, simmer for about 8-10 minutes or until the pasta is perfectly al dente. Continue stirring so that it never comes up past a slow simmer. Adjust heat as necessary to ensure the heat from staying at a temperature where the pasta simmers.
- Once the pasta is al dente, lower the heat to the lowest setting and stir in salt, pepper, three cheeses and cream cheese. There should still be a bit more liquor in the pot remaining. This pasta water will emulsify the sauce perfectly.
