CREAMY POTATO KALE GRATIN RECIPE BY TASTY
Here's what you need: russet potato, kale, shredded parmesan cheese, shredded gruyère cheese, bread crumbs, butter, garlic, flour, milk, salt, pepper

Steps:
- Thinly sliced the potatoes, roughly ¼-inch (5mm) thick.
- Remove stems from kale and cut into ¾ inch-1 inch (2 cm) pieces.
- For the Béchamel sauce, add butter and garlic to a saucepan on medium heat and sauté until aromatic.
- Add flour and mix until mixture browns slightly.
- Add milk, salt, and pepper and simmer on low heat until mixture thickens.
- In a medium-sized oven dish, lay a hefty bed of kale adding olive oil, salt, and pepper and gently mixing.
- Starting from one side layer your potatoes across the kale covering the entire dish.
- Gently press the potatoes and kale mixture down to make more room in the dish.
- Drizzle half of the Béchamel sauce across all of the potatoes.
- Repeat the process and add another layer of kale, olive oil, salt, pepper, and potatoes and cover with remaining sauce.
- Garnish to taste with parmesan, Gruyère, and bread crumbs
- Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 30 minutes covered. Remove cover and bake an additional 30 minutes.

CREAMY KALE GRATIN
You only need two ingredients to take your kale and turn it into the most amazing, creamy and easy side dish. All you need is a bowl and a bit of cooking time and you are all set!

- Preheat your oven to 425F.
- In a large bowl, add the kale and massage slightly. Mix in the greek yogurt until every piece of kale is covered.
- Add the spices, salt and pepper and continue to mix. Add half of the cheese and mix again.
- In an oven safe dish, add the kale, top with the rest of your cheese and breadcrumbs.
- Bake at 425F for 20 minutes, then switch the oven to broil and broil for another 5 minutes.
CREAMED LACINATO KALE
This preparation is classic for a reason. Obviously, spinach is the usual green recruited for this dish, but I love using tender kale in its place. You can make in advance, then simply warm with the breadcrumbs and top with lemon juice just before serving. This should have a baked feeling, so the oven time is important to achieve the classic "steakhouse side dish" effect.

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large braiser over high heat. When the oil begins to smoke, add half the kale to the pan. Season with salt and cook, stirring, until the leaves take on a deep green hue and lose 50 to 75 percent of their volume, 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer the kale to a large bowl with the spinach. Repeat with the remaining oil and kale, adding it to the bowl as done.
- Return the braiser to high heat and add the cream. Simmer the cream until it reduces to about 1 3/4 cups, about 5 minutes. Add the cream to the greens and stir to combine. Add the Parmesan, Gruyere, Worcestershire, chile flakes, nutmeg, lemon zest and juice and salt to taste. Return the greens to the braiser and top with the panko and a drizzle of oil. Bake until warmed, 12 to 15 minutes.

Steps:
- Heat oven to 200C/180C fan/ gas 6. Remove the tough stems from the kale, then boil it in lightly salted water for 3-5 mins. Drain and press out the excess water.
- Heat the butter in a frying pan and add the kale and garlic. Cook over a low-to-medium heat for a few mins. Season well and add some nutmeg.
- Trim the broccoli and halve any thick stalks lengthways. Steam for 3-4 mins or until only just tender. Blot with a tea towel to get rid of the moisture on the surface.
- Tip the kale into the base of a gratin or casserole dish and placethe broccoli on top. Season well and grate over some nutmeg. Pour thecream over, then add both cheeses. Bake in the oven for 30-35 mins or until golden and bubbling.
