1 1/2 lbs ground round
1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
1 large egg, beaten
1/2 cup chopped onion
salt and pepper
garlic salt or garlic powder
1/3 cup water

Steps:

  • Combine 1/4 cup soup with ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, onion, salt, pepper, and garlic salt; mix well.
  • Shape into 6 patties.
  • Place in shallow baking dish.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
  • Drain off fat.
  • Combine remaining soup and water; pour over patties.
  • Bake an additional 10 minutes or until thoroughly heated.

1 pound lean ground beef
1 (10-ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup, divided
1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 cup frozen chopped onions
1 teaspoon steak seasoning (recommended: Montreal)
1 tablespoon canola oil
2 tablespoons butter, divided
1/4 cup cognac
1 (8-ounce) package sliced fresh mushrooms
2 cups low-sodium beef broth
1 (1.2-ounce) packet brown gravy mix
Cooked rice, for serving

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine beef, 1/4 can mushroom soup, bread crumbs, egg, onions, and steak seasoning. Mix thoroughly and shape into 4 oval patties.
  • Heat oil and 1 tablespoon butter in large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown patties on both sides and transfer to a plate.
  • Add remaining butter and cognac (remove pan from heat when adding cognac.) Saute mushrooms for 7 to 8 minutes. Add beef stock and whisk in gravy mix until smooth. Stir in remaining mushroom soup.
  • Return patties to skillet and spoon gravy over top. Cover pan and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Serve Salisbury Steaks and Mushroom Gravy over hot cooked rice.

1/4 cup cornstarch
2 cans (10-1/2 ounces each) condensed beef consomme, undiluted
1 jar (6 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained
4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1/2 to 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper, optional
1-1/2 pounds ground beef
Hot mashed potatoes or cooked noodles

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the cornstarch and consomme until smooth. Stir in mushrooms, Worcestershire sauce and basil; set aside. , In another large bowl, combine egg, bread crumbs, onion, seasoned salt and pepper if desired. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into six oval patties; place in a shallow 1-1/2-qt. microwave-safe dish. , Cover and microwave on high for 3-5 minutes; drain. Turn patties, moving the ones in the center to the outside of dish. Pour consomme mixture over patties. Cover and microwave on high for 6-8 minutes or until a thermometer reads 160°. Let stand for 5 minutes. Serve with potatoes or noodles.

1 pound lean ground beef
⅓ cup dry bread crumbs
¼ cup chopped onions
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
2 cups beef broth
1 large onion, thinly sliced
1 cup sliced mushrooms
3 tablespoons cornstarch
3 tablespoons water

Steps:

  • Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, chopped onion, egg, salt, and black pepper in a bowl until evenly mixed. Shape beef mixture into 4 patties, about 3/4 inch thick.
  • Fry patties in a large skillet over medium heat until browned on both sides, about 10 minutes. Add beef broth, onion, and mushrooms; bring to a boil. It's one of those traditional Southern comfort food items you'll find on the menu at Mom and Pop style restaurants and diners throughout the South. Fresh ground beef, caramelized onions and a rich brown gravy make this one more delicious item to serve to your family and friends.

1 pound of Ground Round Beef
1/2 teaspoon of Black Pepper
1 teaspoon of Salt
1/2 teaspoon of Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon of Worcestershire Sauce
1 whole Egg
1/4 cup of dry Bread Crumbs
2 Tablespoons of Butter
1 large Onion, sliced
2 Tablespoons of Flour
2 cups of Water
2 teaspoons of Beef Bouillon Granules

Steps:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the Beef, Black Pepper, Salt, Garlic Powder, Worcestershire Sauce, Bread Crumbs and one whole Egg. Stir mixture together well.
  • Shape into 4 equal sized patties.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat for about a minute, and then add Butter.
  • Place meat patties in skillet and brown on both sides for about 4-5 minutes each. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • Add the sliced Onion into the skillet, right on top of the browned bits.
  • Reduce the heat and cook the onions on medium-low heat until the onions turn translucent and brown. Don't rush this step. Cook the onions low and slow for about 20-25 minutes.
  • Sprinkle 2 Tablespoons of flour over the onions. Stir. Let cook and brown for about 2 minutes.
  • Add 2 cups of warm Water. Stir well. Raise the heat back up to about medium.
  • Add 2 teaspoons of Beef Bouillon Granules. Stir Well.
  • Place the meat patties back in the pan. Cover. Reduce heat just a little and let simmer for about 15 more minutes. Remove from heat and serve warm.
  • Enjoy!

2 teaspoons prepared horseradish sauce
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon prepared mustard (spicy brown)
1 egg (lightly beaten)
1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 cup water

Steps:

  • Combine soup, mustard, Worcestershire and horseradish in a bowl and set aside.
  • In another bowl, mix together egg, bread crumbs, onion, salt, pepper, 1/4 cup soup mixture and the ground beef.
  • Form mixture into 4-6 patties.
  • Brown patties in oil and drain off excess fat.
  • Combine rest of the soup mixture with the 1/2 cup water and pour over the patties.
  • Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes (or until done) Remove patties and spoon remaining sauce over top.
  • This is great over hot cooked noodles!
