This easy cranberry sauce recipe calls for simply jazzing up canned cranberry sauce with orange zest and juice and fresh herbs. Serve it with your Thanksgiving turkey, on leftover turkey sandwiches or along with any holiday meal.

2 (14.1 ounce) cans whole-berry cranberry sauce
1 medium orange, zested and juiced
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh rosemary

Steps:

  • Combine cranberry sauce, orange zest, 1/4 cup orange juice and rosemary in a medium saucepan; bring to a simmer over medium heat. Cook, stirring a few times, until the flavors are blended and the sauce thickens slightly, about 10 minutes.

1 pound fresh cranberries
2 oranges, zested and juiced
1 cup white sugar
water to cover

Steps:

  • Stir cranberries, orange zest, sugar, and enough water to cover berries together in a saucepan. Bring mixture to a boil and cook until cranberries begin to burst, 5 to 10 minutes. Reduce heat to low, stir in orange juice, and simmer until flavors blend, about 1 hour. Cool to room temperature and refrigerate until a gel consistency is reached, at least 1 hour.

1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1/4 cup Triple Sec or orange juice
3 tablespoons freshly-squeezed orange juice
1-1/2 teaspoons grated orange zest

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, combine the cranberries, sugar, water, Triple Sec and orange juice. Cook over medium heat until berries pop, about 15 minutes., Remove from the heat; stir in orange zest. Transfer to a small bowl. Chill until serving.

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup orange juice
2 teaspoons fresh rosemary leaves, minced
1/2 teaspoon orange zest, finely grated

Steps:

  • Combine cranberries, sugar, orange juice and rosemary in a large sauce pan.
  • Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 1 minute.
  • Remove from heat and add in the orange zest.
  • Cover and cool.
  • Return to room temperature before serving.

2 sprigs fresh rosemary
1 pinch salt
1 (12 ounce) bag fresh cranberries

Steps:

  • Boil honey, sugar, lemon juice, water, rosemary and salt in a saucepan over medium-high heat.
  • Add cranberries and simmer until berries burst and sauce thickens, about 8 minutes.
  • Remove rosemary.
  • Chill at least 2 hours before serving.

Reduce the heat to a simmer and simmer 1 - 4 minutes, depending on how many berries you like whole. The berries will pop as they cook, and you can help this process by pressing them against the sides of the pot with the back of a spoon.
  • When you're satisfied with the consistency, remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in orange zest. Cover and let stand for 10 minutes. Remove rosemary from pan and press the cheesecloth against the side of the saucepan with the back of a spoon to extrude all juices. Transfer to serving bowl.
