Number Of Ingredients 5

1 package (8 ounces) reduced-fat cream cheese
1/2 cup dried cranberries, chopped
1/2 cup chopped dried apricots
1 teaspoon grated orange zest
Assorted crackers

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, cranberries, apricots and orange zest until blended. Chill until serving. Serve with crackers.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 can(s) whole berry cranberry sauce, 16 ounce
6-8 dried figs; coarsely chopped
1 apple; peeled, cored and coarsely chopped
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp each of ginger, allspice and curry powder
2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp brown sugar
1 box cream cheese, 8 ounce
crackers

Steps:

  • 1. Combine all ingredients (except cream cheese and crackers) in a medium bowl and stir.
  • 2. Chill for 2 hours or overnight.
  • 3. Serve in a dish with cream cheese on bottom of the dish, then pour chutney over cream cheese and serve as a dip with crackers.
  • 4. You can also serve at room temperature. Great to jar and give as a gift around the holidays.

1-1/4 cups sugar
1/2 cup water
1 package (12 ounces) fresh or frozen cranberries
2 large tart apples, peeled and finely chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 cup golden raisins
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 cup chopped walnuts, toasted

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, bring sugar and water to a boil over medium heat, stirring to dissolve sugar. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 3 minutes. Carefully stir in all remaining ingredients except walnuts; return to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, until mixture reaches desired thickness, 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally., Serve warm or cold. Stir in walnuts before serving.

1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup water
2 small tart green apples, peeled,cored and coarsely chopped
1 (12 ounce) package fresh cranberries
2 teaspoons orange zest
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
green food coloring
finely chopped nuts
yellow bell pepper, cutouts (optional)
assorted cracker

Steps:

  • Combine sugars and water in medium saucepan; bring to a boil.
  • Stir in apples; simmer 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add cranberries and orange rind; cook 10 to 15 minutes or until cranberries are softened and chutney has thickened, stirring occasionally.
  • Spoon chutney into tightly covered container; refrigerate up to 2 weeks.
  • When ready to serve, cut block of cream cheese into Christmas tree shape, if desired; brush with food color to resemble branches of tree.
  • Press nuts onto bottom of tree for"trunk.
  • "Remove a few cooked cranberries from chutney for garnish and use to decorate cream cheese tree along with bell pepper cutouts, if desired.
  • Serve chutney with crackers.
