Golden crescent roll slices filled with scrumptious dilled cream cheese and tender crab-- and easy prep, too!! Makes a lovely brunch dish! Recipe was a regional winner in Country magazine.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
2 (3 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon dill weed
1 cup chopped imitation crabmeat (or 6 oz. drained cleaned crab meat)
1 egg yolk, beaten

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • On a greased baking sheet, unroll crescent dough into one long rectangle; seal seams and perforations.
  • In a small mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, onion and dill until blended.
  • Spread mixture lengthwise over half of the dough to within 1/2 inches of edges. Top with crab.
  • Fold dough over filling; pinch seam to seal.
  • Brush the top with egg yolk.
  • Bake at 375 d for 18-22 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Cut into slices to serve.

2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
2 cups chopped imitation crabmeat
1 can (4-1/4 ounces) chopped ripe olives
1/4 cup minced chives
3 tubes (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent rolls
3/4 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
3/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese, crab, olives and chives. Unroll one tube of crescent dough into one long rectangle; seal seams and perforations. , Spread with 1 cup cream cheese mixture; sprinkle with 1/4 cup of each cheese. Roll up jelly-roll style, starting with a long side; pinch seam to seal. , Using a serrated knife, cut into 10 slices; place cut side down on a greased baking sheet. Repeat with remaining crescent dough, cream cheese mixture and cheeses. , Bake at 375° for 14-16 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.

1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons sliced green onions
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
2 (8 ounce) cans refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
1 egg yolk
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
1 (9 ounce) jar sweet and sour sauce

Steps:

  • Heat over to 375 degrees.
  • Spray large cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
  • In small bowl, combine crabmeat, cream cheese, onions and garlic salt and mix well.
  • Unroll both cans of dough.
  • Separate into 16 triangles.
  • Cut each triangle in half lengthwise to make 32 triangles.
  • Place 1 teaspoon crab mixture on center of each triangle about 1 inch from short side of triangle.
  • Fold short ends of each triangle over filling.
  • Pinch sides to seal.
  • Roll up.
  • Place on sprayed cookie sheet.
  • In small bowl, combine egg yolk and water and mix well.
  • Brush egg mixture over snacks.
  • Sprinkle with sesame seed.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Serve warn snacks with sweet-and-sour sauce.

2 teaspoons mayonnaise
1-1/2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1-1/2 cups shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese
3/4 cup shredded carrot (about 1 medium)
1/4 cup finely chopped celery
2 green onions, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 can (6 ounces) lump crabmeat, drained
2 tubes (8 ounces each) refrigerated seamless crescent dough sheet

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, mayonnaise and mustard until blended. Stir in cheese, carrot, celery, green onions and garlic. Gently fold in crab., Unroll crescent dough and roll into a 12-1/2x10-in. rectangle. Cut each sheet into twenty 2-1/2-in. squares., Spoon a heaping teaspoonful of cream cheese mixture diagonally over half of each square to within 1/2 in. of edges. 1 tablespoon chopped green onion
1 cup shredded swiss cheese
1 -2 tablespoon mayonnaise
garlic salt
seasoning salt
8 ounces fresh crabmeat, flaked
2 (12 ounce) cans crescent rolls
1/3 cup butter, melted

Steps:

  • Combine the cream cheese, green onions, Swiss cheese, mayo, lemon juice, garlic salt and seasoned salt in a bowl and mix well.
  • Stir in crab meat.

4 large garlic cloves, minced
6 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup diced onion
1/3 cup diced scallions
1/2 cup diced celery
2 tablespoons diced green bell pepper
2 tablespoons diced red bell pepper
2 tablespoons white wine
1 pound lump crabmeat, drained
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 eggs, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons chopped parsley leaves
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon seafood seasoning (recommended: Old Bay Seasoning)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
3 hamburger buns
Tomato, sliced for garnish
Lettuce, for garnish
1 lemon, cut into wedges for garnish
2 cups Remoulade sauce, recipe follows
2 cups mayonnaise
3 tablespoons green sweet relish
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 teaspoons capers
1 tablespoon anchovy paste
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

  • In a medium skillet over medium heat, cook the garlic in 3 tablespoons of the olive oil until lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Add the onion, scallions, celery and peppers and cook until soft, about 5 more minutes. Add the wine and simmer for 1 minute, then remove the pan from the heat. Transfer the mixture to a large bowl. Add the crabmeat and mix well. Add the bread crumbs, Parmesan, lemon juice, eggs, parsley, mustard, seasoning, salt, and pepper, and mix well. Line a cookie sheet with waxed paper. Divide the crab mixture into 6 patties.
  • In a large skillet, heat the remaining olive oil and cook the crab cakes until fully cooked and lightly browned, about 3 to 4 minutes per side. Serve 2 crab cakes per hamburger bun, with tomato slices, lettuce, lemon wedges, and Remoulade sauce on the side.
  • In a medium bowl, combine all the ingredients and mix well. Season, to taste, with salt and pepper. It is best to refrigerate for several hours to allow the flavors to marry.
