Oh my, it's like pot pie! A tender biscuit layer tops a creamy filling of a tasty ham and asparagus duo.

1 1/2 cups diced fully cooked ham
1/2 cup milk
1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed cream of asparagus soup
1 cup shredded Italian-style cheese blend (4 ounces)
1 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
3/4 cup milk

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400°F. Heat asparagus, ham, milk, soup and 3/4 cup of the cheese to boiling in 3-quart saucepan, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Spread in ungreased 2-quart casserole.
  • Stir Bisquick mix, milk and remaining 1/4 cup cheese in small bowl until blended. Pour evenly over ham mixture.
  • Bake uncovered about 30 minutes or until golden brown and toothpick inserted in biscuit layer comes out clean.

5 large eggs
2 cups whole milk
1/2 cup half-and-half cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
4 cups cubed Italian or French bread (about 6 ounces)
1-1/4 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese, divided
1 cup cubed deli ham (1/2 inch)
1 cup cut fresh asparagus (1-inch pieces)

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, whisk the first six ingredients until blended. Stir in bread, 1 cup cheese, ham and asparagus. Transfer to a greased 8-in. square baking dish. Refrigerate, covered, several hours or overnight. , Preheat oven to 325°. Remove strata from refrigerator while oven heats. Bake, uncovered, 20 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining cheese; bake 40-50 minutes longer or until puffed, golden and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Let stand 5-10 minutes before serving.Freeze option: After assembling, cover and freeze strata. To use, partially thaw in refrigerator overnight. Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. 1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed, cut into 1-inch pieces
2 cups cubed fully cooked ham
3 cups cooked rice
1 cup finely chopped celery
1-1/2 teaspoons lemon-pepper seasoning
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1 tablespoon butter, melted

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, bring 1/2 in. of water to a boil. Add asparagus; cover and boil for 3 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain well. , In a greased 2-1/2-qt. baking dish, combine the asparagus, ham, rice, celery and lemon-pepper; set aside. In a large saucepan, combine soup and broth; add cheese. Cook and stir over medium heat until cheese is melted. Pour over ham mixture. , Combine crumbs and butter; sprinkle over top. 1 lb fresh asparagus, cut into 1-inch pieces
5 English muffins, split and toasted
2 cups grated colby-monterey jack cheese, divided
1 1/2 cups diced cooked ham
1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
8 eggs, beaten
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Steps:

  • In a 4-quart saucepan, boil asparagus pieces 1 minute.
  • Drain and put in a large bowl of ice water to stop cooking process.
  • Drain and pat asparagus dry with paper towels.
  • Place English muffin halves, cut side up, to form a crust in a greased 13 x 9 inch pan.
  • Cut the muffins to fill the empty spaces in the pan as needed.
  • Layer asparagus, half the cheese, ham, and bell pepper over muffins.
  • In a large bowl, whisk eggs, milk, salt, dry mustard and pepper.
  • Pour the egg mixture evenly over muffins.
  • Cover and refrigerate 2 hours or overnight.
  • Remove from refrigerator before preheating the oven to 375 degrees.
  • Bake 40-45 minutes, or until set in the center.

4 ounces process swiss cheese, torn or 4 ounces gruyere cheese, cut up
4 beaten eggs
1/4 cup sour cream
1 1/4 cups milk
2 tablespoons finely chopped onions
1 tablespoon dijon-style mustard
pepper (Salt if using chicken)

Steps:

  • In a greased 2-quart square baking dish spread half of the English muffin pieces.
  • Top with ham, asparagus, and cheese.

1/2 cup onion, Minced
2 cups flour

1 cup sharp cheddar cheese (shredded or diced)

Steps:

1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
8 ounces thinly shaved ham, diced
1 1/2 cups freshly grated Cheddar
1 large green bell pepper, cut into small dice
1 large onion, finely diced

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Generously spray 24 muffin cups (2 standard muffin tins) with cooking spray.
  • Crack the eggs into a bowl; add the salt, black pepper and chili powder. Whisk until combined. Add the ham, Cheddar, bell peppers and onions and stir.
  • With a measuring cup, scoop the mixture into the muffin cups. Bake for 20 to 22 minutes, until puffy and just barely set.
  • Within a minute or two, the casseroles will start to flatten just a little bit -- this is normal! Run a knife along the edges of each muffin cup and lift the casseroles out of the pan. Serve warm or at room temperature.
