2 cups all-purpose flour
2 eggs
2 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup butter
1 ½ cups miniature marshmallows
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup cola-flavored carbonated beverage
½ cup buttermilk
½ cup butter
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
6 tablespoons cola-flavored carbonated beverage
4 cups confectioners' sugar
1 cup chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Combine flour and white sugar in mixing bowl. Heat 1 cup butter, 3 tablespoons cocoa, and 1 cup cola soft drink to boiling and pour over the flour and sugar. Mix thoroughly.
  • Add buttermilk, eggs, baking soda, vanilla, and marshmallows and mix well.
  • Bake in a prepared 9 by 13 inch pan for 40 minutes at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • While still hot, frost with Coco Cola Frosting: Combine 1/2 cup butter or margarine, 2 tablespoons cocoa and 6 tablespoons cola soft drink and heat to boiling. Pour over 4 cups confectioners' sugar and mix well. Mix in chopped nuts and spread over hot cake.

This is an old family recipe, my grandmother got it from her youngest sister Grace, I am not sure about the year... but it was before I was born. This is a moist meat loaf and has a great flavor. Grandma always served this with corn, peas or green beans and mashed potatoes with a tomato gravy or a brown gravy.

MEATLOAF
1 3/4 c bread crumbs, fresh
1 large egg (well beaten)
1/2 c coca-cola
3 Tbsp catsup
1 Tbsp yellow mustard
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/8 tsp ground red pepper
1 tsp dry basil leaves (crushed)
1/3 c fresh parsley (minced fine)
1 medium onion (minced)
2 lb ground beef
TOPPING: (OPTIONAL)
1 small can tomato paste
1 can(s) stewed tomatoes

Steps:

  • 1. In a large bowl: Put egg, pop, catsup, mustard and bread crumbs and mix together well. Add spices, fresh parsley and onion, mixing well. Add the ground beef and mix together well.
  • 2. Put into a loaf pan (9x5 inches). Bake at 350 degrees for 55 to 75 minutes. Remove from oven and let rest on counter or stove top about 10 minutes before cutting.
  • 3. Optional Topping: Halfway through cooking, quickly spread the tomato paste over the meatloaf with a knife. Pour stewed tomatoes over the top. Return to oven to finish baking.

1 (12 ounce) can Coke (any soda or beer will do)

Steps:

  • Mix soda with pancake mix just till wet. Do not over mix. Dough will be very lumpy and thick.
  • Grease a bundt pan add mix bake at 4OO degrees for 45-60 minute.
  • Let cool at least a little bit to make it easier to cut.

2 1/2 cups dark brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup oil or 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 -2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon clove
2 teaspoons baking powder
3/8 teaspoon salt
3 1/4 cups flour
1 cup Coca-Cola
1 cup mini chocolate chip (optional)
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Steps:

  • Set oven to 300 degrees.
  • Grease two 9 x 5-in loaf pans, or mini loaf pans.
  • Puree the bananas; set aside.
  • Mix together the sugars, oil, eggs and vanilla.
  • Sift all dry ingredients (except the chocolate chips and nuts).
  • Mix together, the dry ingredients with the sugar/oil mixture, adding the banana puree and the 1 cup cola.
  • Add the chips and the nuts, if using.
  • Spoon batter into prepared pans.
  • Set pans on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 1 hour and 20 mins, or until cakes test done.

1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
1 c. butter
1 can Coke
1/3 c. cocoa powder

For the glaze
1 can Coke
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. cocoa powder
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
4 c. powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Spray a 9"-x-13" pan with cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine butter, Coke, and cocoa powder. Bring to a boil, whisking continuously. Remove from heat and whisk in eggs and buttermilk. Pour into flour mixture and mix until combined.
  • Transfer to prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • While baking, make the glaze: In a medium saucepan, bring Coke to a boil. Allow it to reduce by half, about 15 minutes. Add butter, cocoa powder, vanilla and salt and stir to combine. Pour over powdered sugar and whisk until combined.
  • Pour frosting over cake while still warm. Wait about 10 minutes for icing to set. Slice and serve.

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 13x9-in. baking pan., In a large bowl, whisk the first 5 ingredients. In a small saucepan, combine cola, butter and cocoa; bring just to a boil, stirring occasionally. Add to flour mixture, stirring just until moistened., In a small bowl, whisk eggs, buttermilk and vanilla until blended; add to flour mixture, whisking constantly., Transfer to prepared pan. Bake 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean., About 15 minutes before cake is done, prepare glaze. In a small saucepan, bring cola to a boil; cook 12-15 minutes or until liquid is reduced to 1/2 cup. Stir in butter and cocoa until butter is melted; remove from heat. Add confectioners' sugar; stir until smooth. Pour immediately over hot cake.
