Coffee drinks are all the rage these days. This slush rivals any from a gourmet coffee shop.

Yield 5 quarts.

Number Of Ingredients 6

6 cups strong brewed coffee
2 cups sugar
2 quarts milk
1 quart half-and-half cream
4 teaspoons vanilla extract
Whipped cream, optional

Steps:

  • In a 5-qt. freezer container, stir coffee and sugar until sugar is dissolved. Stir in the milk, cream and vanilla. Cover and freeze overnight. , To serve, thaw in the refrigerator for 8-10 hours or until slushy. Spoon into glasses. Garnish with whipped cream if desired.

3 pints half-and-half cream
3 cups cold brewed coffee
2 cups white sugar
2 tablespoons vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Mix cream, coffee, sugar, and vanilla extract together in a freezer-safe container. Cover container and freeze until coffee mixture is solid, at least 3 hours.
  • Remove container from freezer and defrost in room temperature for 1 hour. Break coffee mixture apart with a fork creating a slush-like consistency. Transfer to a punch bowl or large pitcher.

  • Pour evenly into 2 glasses.
