Steps:
- Preheat the broiler. Season the cod with salt and pepper. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the almonds and sesame seeds and cook, tossing, until toasted, 3 to 4 minutes. Transfer to a blender and puree until finely ground; set the blender aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in the same skillet over medium-high heat. Add the leek and cook, stirring, until just beginning to brown, 3 to 4 minutes. Add the wine and cook until slightly reduced, about 3 minutes. Add 2 cups water and bring to a simmer. Add the cod, reduce the heat to low, cover and cook until just cooked through, 7 to 9 minutes. Remove the cod to a plate.
- Transfer the leek and 3/4 cup of the cooking liquid to the almond mixture in the blender and blend on high speed until smooth and thick. Add more cooking liquid as needed to loosen.
- Meanwhile, arrange the cabbage on a baking sheet and broil, tossing occasionally, until tender and browned in spots, about 8 minutes. Transfer to a bowl and toss with 2 tablespoons olive oil and the pepperoncini brine. Season with salt and pepper.
- Toss the cilantro, olives, pepperoncini and remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil in a small bowl. Divide the cod among plates. Top with the almond sauce and olive mixture. Serve with the cabbage.

Steps:
- Position 2 racks in the upper and lower thirds of the oven and preheat to 400 degrees F.
- Combine the tomatoes, capers, 3 tablespoons of the olive oil, lemon zest and juice, shallot, basil, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and a few grinds of black pepper in a medium bowl. Set aside to let the flavors develop.
- Cut four 16-inch long sheets of parchment paper. Fold each sheet in half and open it like a book. Divide the pieces of parchment between 2 baking sheets (2 pieces per sheet).
- Toss the corn and green beans with the remaining tablespoon of olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and a few grinds of black pepper in a bowl. Divide between the 4 parchment sheets, mounding the mixture on one side of the fold. Sprinkle each cod fillet with 1/4 teaspoon salt and place on top of a vegetable mound. Dot with butter and drizzle with wine.
- Fold over the top half of the parchment, crimping and overlapping small folds along the open edge to seal tightly. Bake until the parchment puffs, about 15 minutes; the fish will be tender and cooked through. Transfer the packs to plates. Avoiding the hot steam, carefully cut open the pack. Spoon the reserved tomato-basil salsa with juices over each fillet and serve immediately.

SLOW COOKER CHICKEN AND RICE SOUP
Number Of Ingredients 0
Steps:
- Toss the carrots and celery together in a slow cooker. Add the dill, thyme, bay leaf, onion and 1/2 teaspoon salt.Rub the chicken thighs all over, including under the skin, with 1 teaspoon salt total, and place them on top of the vegetables. Add the chicken broth. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours. During the last 15 minutes of cooking, remove the chicken and stir in the rice. While the rice warms through, remove and discard the chicken skin and bones and shred the chicken (it will mostly fall apart on its own). After the 15 minutes, turn off the slow cooker and remove the dill and thyme stems and the bay leaf. Add the shredded chicken and 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Taste and add more lemon juice and salt as needed. Stir in a good amount of pepper and the chopped dill. Serve hot topped with whole dill fronds.Source: foodnetwork.comRecipe formatted with the Cook'n Recipe Software from DVO Enterprises.

PRETZEL ROLLS
Number Of Ingredients 0
Steps:
- Warm the milk in a small saucepan until a thermometer registers 110 degrees F. Pour into a medium bowl; sprinkle with the yeast and let soften, about 2 minutes. Sprinkle with the sugar and set aside until foamy, about 5 minutes.Combine the flour and fine salt in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the dough hook. With the mixer on low speed, add the yeast mixture and butter and mix until the dough is slightly smooth and soft but still sticky, about 2 minutes. Coat a large bowl with cooking spray; add the dough, cover with plastic wrap and let rise at room temperature until doubled in size, about 1 hour.Generously coat a baking sheet with cooking spray. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Stretch into a 16-inch-long log, about 2 inches wide; cut into 8 even pieces. Roll and stretch each piece into a 6-inch-long rope, then wind into a coil; tuck the end underneath. Transfer the rolls to the baking sheet and cover with plastic wrap. Let rest at room temperature 15 minutes, then refrigerate until slightly puffed, about 2 hours.Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Fill a large pot or deep skillet with 3 inches of water. Add the baking soda and 1/4 cup coarse salt and bring to a boil. Add half of the rolls and cook until slightly puffed, about 1 minute, flipping halfway through with a slotted spoon. Recoat the baking sheet with cooking spray and return the rolls to the baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining rolls. Brush the rolls lightly with the beaten egg, then sprinkle with coarse salt.Transfer to the oven and bake until the rolls are deep golden brown, 18 to 20 minutes, rotating the baking sheet halfway through. Transfer to a rack and let cool 10 minutes on the pan, then remove the rolls to the rack to cool completely.Source: foodnetwork.comRecipe formatted with the Cook'n Recipe Software from DVO Enterprises.
