The classic Cheddar Cheese Ball is the snack everyone wants on their table for get-togethers and game nights.

Number Of Ingredients 5

8 ounces cream cheese
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 - 1 teaspoon Worchestershire sauce
1 cup freshly grated sharp cheddar cheese, about 2 ounces
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Steps:

  • Place the cream cheese in a large mixing bowl and beat with an electric mixer until smooth, about 1 minute. Scrape the sides of the bowl and sprinkle garlic powder over the cream cheese. Add the Worcestershire sauce. Mix again until well combined, about 1 minute.
  • Add the cheese and mix again. Spread plastic wrap on the counter and scoop the cheese mixture onto it. Form into a ball with the spatula.
  • Place the chopped nuts on a small plate. Gently roll the cheeseball in the nuts to coat it completely. Wrap the finished cheese ball in plastic wrap until ready to serve.
  • Remove from the refrigerator at least 30 minutes before serving. Serve with crackers and fresh vegetables.

8 ounces cream cheese
8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1/4 cup French onion dip
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon parsley flakes
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients (can use electric hand mixer) and shape into ball.
  • Refrigerate, but let set out at room temperature before serving.
  • Serve with crackers.

8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
2 ounce Brie cheese, rind removed
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 to 1/2 tsp hot sauce, or to taste
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
6 ounces toasted pecans

Steps:

  • Combine the cream cheese, cheddar, Brie, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl. With an electric mixer, beat on medium speed until incorporated. Add the parsley and continue to beat on low speed until just combined. Form the mixture into a ball and refrigerate until set.
  • While the cheese ball sets, coarsely chop the pecans and spread on a rimmed plate.
  • About 30 minutes before serving, remove the cheese ball from the fridge. Roll the ball in the pecans, pressing them firmly to the ball, until completely covered. Let soften at room temperature for 30 minutes. Serve.

2 cups shredded extra-sharp cheddar cheese
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 garlic clove, minced
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 cup sliced almonds, toasted

Steps:

  • Process all the ingredients (except the almonds) in a food processor until smooth, scraping down the sides as necessary, about1 minute.
  • Transfer the cheese mixture to the center of a large sheet of plastic wrap.
  • Seal the cheese in the wrap and shape into a rough ball (the mixture will be somewhat loose).
  • Refrigerate until firm, about 3 hours (the cheese ball can be refrigerated for up to2 days).
  • Once the cheese ball is firm, reshape it as necessary into a smooth sphere.
  • Unwrap the cheese ball and roll it in the almonds.
  • Let it sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with your favorite crackers.
