1 ¼ cups applesauce
1 cup white sugar
½ cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
3 tablespoons milk
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
¼ teaspoon ground allspice
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine the applesauce, sugar, oil, eggs and milk; beat well. Sift in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and salt; stir until smooth. Fold in the pecans. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean.

1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, divided
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 large eggs, room temperature
1-1/4 cups unsweetened applesauce
1/4 cup canola oil
3 tablespoons 2% milk
1/4 cup packed brown sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, combine the flours, sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, baking soda, salt, baking powder and nutmeg. In a small bowl, whisk the eggs, applesauce, oil and milk. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. , Transfer to a greased 9x5-in. loaf pan. Combine brown sugar and remaining 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon; sprinkle over the top. , Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 50-60 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack.Freeze option: Securely wrap cooled loaf in foil, then freeze. To use, thaw at room temperature.

1/2 cup oil ((vegetable oil, canola oil, melted coconut oil, or melted butter))
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup light brown sugar (packed)
2 large eggs
1 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/4 cup Greek yogurt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
pinch salt (optional and to taste)

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line the bottom of a 9X5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper. Lightly grease the insides of the pan with cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together oil, granulated sugar and brown sugar. Add the eggs, whisking until smooth. Add the applesauce, vanilla, and Greek yogurt and mix until well-combined
  • Add the flours, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt and stir just until combined; don't over-mix the batter.
  • Pour the batter into prepared loaf pan and spread into an even layer.
  • Bake for 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean or with just moist crumbs.
  • Remove from oven. Run a knife gently around the side of the pan and then remove bread onto a cooling rack.

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 cup applesauce
1 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup milk
2 tablespoons oil
1 cup walnuts (chopped and divided (could use pecans))
1/2 cup raisins

Steps:

  • Beat egg, applesauce, brown sugar, milk and oil together in bowl. Add flour, cinnamon, baking powder, salt and mix until all ingredients are wet. Fold in half the walnuts and the raisins.
  • Pour into a 9 x 5 loaf pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Sprinkle the rest of the walnuts on top of the batter. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 55 to 60 minutes.
  • Cool in pan at least 10 minutes.

1 tbsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 egg
1 cup chunky applesauce
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
2/3 cup fat free milk

1 cup chopped walnuts, divided
1/2 cup raisins

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix flour, cinnamon, baking powder and salt in large bowl. Set aside.
  • Beat egg in medium bowl. Stir in applesauce, brown sugar, milk and oil. Add to flour mixture; stir just until moistened. (Batter will be lumpy.) Stir in 1/2 cup of the walnuts and raisins. Pour batter into 9x5-inch loaf pan sprayed with no stick cooking spray. Sprinkle top evenly with remaining 1/2 cup walnuts.
  • Bake 55 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove from pan; cool completely on wire rack.

1 c sugar
1 large egg
1 1/2 c all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon

1 1/4 c applesauce, unsweetened
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 c raisins
3/4 c chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9x5 loaf pan and set aside. Cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in the egg.
  • 2. In a separate bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture. Beat in the applesauce and vanilla. Fold in the raisins and walnuts.
  • 3. Pour into the prepared loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 60-70 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in the pan and then remove, let cool, slice and serve. Good with cream cheese spread.

1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/4 tsp salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9x5 loaf pan or 5 mini loaf pans.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the applesauce, sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and milk.
  • Slowly add in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin pie spice, and salt.
  • Stir until just combined.
