"CHUNKY BAR" COOKIES



My husband loves Chunky candy bars. These cookies don't contain Chunky Bars, they TASTE like chunky bars. My variation on a cake mix cookie recipe.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 (18 ounce) box devil's food cake mix
2 large eggs
1/4 cup margarine (stick not tub)
1/4 cup butter, at room temperature
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup dried dates, chopped
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

Steps:

  • Stir with a wooden spoon until well combined: dry cake mix, eggs, margarine, butter and brown sugar.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients.
  • Drop from level tablespoons onto greased cookie sheets.
  • Bake at 350F 11 minutes or until cookies puff.
  • Cool on pan 2 minutes.
  • Remove to wire rack to cool completely.

  • Stop, scrape down the sides of the bowl, and add the Mounds Bars, chocolate chunks, and beat on low speed until just combined, about 30 seconds.
  • Using a large cookie scoop, 1/4-cup measure, or your hands, form approximately 13 equal-sized mounds of dough, roll into balls, and flatten slightly. Tip – Strategically place a few Mounds Bars and chocolate chunks right on top of each mound of dough by taking pieces from the underside and adding them on top.
