- Mix all ingredients in crock pot except Chinese vegetables, water, and corn starch. Cook on high until simmering.
- Reduce heat and cook covered on medium for 7 hours.
- Add vegetables.
- Mix corn starch with water and stir into mixture until well blended.
- Replace lid and cook on medium another hour.
- Serve over chow mein noodles.

- Cut pork into 4x1/4-in. strips; place in a bowl. Add garlic and 2 tablespoons soy sauce. - In a bowl, mix soy sauce, ginger, garlic, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, red pepper flakes, and pepper.
- Place chicken cubes into a re-sealable plastic bag pour half of the marinade into the bag and save the rest for later.
- Let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
- Pour the marinated chicken into a large pot and cook over medium-high heat. Remove chicken from the pot.
- Add sesame oil to the bottom of the pot and add the onion, celery, carrots, and cabbage. Sauté until the onions are translucent.
- Place both of the ramen noodle bricks into the bottom of the pot.
- Pour in chicken broth over the noodles.
- Cover the noodles with the vegetables as much as possible. Cover the pot with a lid and simmer for 5-7 minutes or until the noodles are cooked through.
- Break up the noodles and add back the chicken, and pour in the rest of the marinade from earlier.
- Garnish with scallions.

- In a wok or deep skillet over medium-high heat, heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil, then add the par-cooked noodles. Cook for 1-2 minutes, allowing the noodles to crisp, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
- In the same wok, heat the remaining tablespoon of cooking oil over medium-high heat and add the onion, bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot. Stir and cook for 2 minutes, then add the garlic and season with salt and pepper. Stir and continue to cook for 2 minutes, or until the onions are translucent.
- Add the cabbage, shiitake mushrooms, snow peas, and corn.
- In a small bowl, combine the water and cornstarch. Mix with a fork to dissolve the cornstarch, then add the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice wine, sugar, and white pepper. Mix well.
- Pour the sauce over the vegetables. Mix well and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the vegetables have softened.
