HAWAIIAN PORK HASH
Very popular Hawaiian pupu - you can even get pork hash at the 7-11 here. My recipe is better - it includes shrimp!

Steps:
- In a medium bowl, mix together the ground pork, shrimp, egg white, water chestnuts, green onion, cornstarch, soy sauce, sugar, garlic, oyster sauce, salt, pepper, and sesame oil.
- Place about 1 tablespoon of this filling onto the center of each dumpling wrapper, and bring the sides up to the top. Do not seal the top, as these dumplings are left open. Place dumplings in a steamer.
- Set the steamer basket over a pan or wok of boiling water. Steam for 30 minutes.

- Place pork in a large Ziploc bag.
- Combine all remaining ingredients in medium-sized bowl and pour into Ziploc bag with the pork.
- Press out all the air from the bag, seal tightly, and refrigerate.
- Marinade 4+ hours or overnight (the longer the better).
- Remove pork from fridge about 20 minutes before cooking to allow pork to reach close to room temperature. Drain marinade choose cooking method below:

- 1. Except for won ton wrappers, combine all the ingredients into a mixing bowl and incorporate very well.
- 2. Place a spoonful of the mixture onto the center of the pi, bring up the sides to form a little cup around the filling, do not seal the top (photo).
- 3. Place the dumplings in a bamboo steamer over boiling water and steam for a full 30 minutes.
- 4. Turn off the heat and remove the pork hash from the steamer, be careful, it's hot!
- 5. CHINESE HOT MUSTARD SAUCE: Chinese mustard powder, water and soy sauce. Use 1 tsp of the powder and mix with 1 tsp of water, mix till paste is smooth then add 1 tsp of soy sauce or more for your taste.
CHINESE HAMBURGER HASH
This is a recipe my Mom made when I was growing up and which my family enjoys now. It is quick to make and by throwing together a salad you have a full meal.

- Preheat oven to 350.
- In large skillet brown hamburger. Remove hamburger to a plate with paper towels to remove most of grease.
- In same pan saute onions and celery until onions become transparent. Return Hamburger to pan.
- Add soups and water to pan.
- Stir in Uncooked rice, soy sauce and pepper.
- Put in greased 8x11 covered casserole.
- Bake 1 hour at 350. Uncover and sprinkle Chow Mein Noodles over top and finish baking 15 minute
- Note: Can us 1 1/4 Cup Minute Rice But shorten cooking time to 30 to 40 minute.

CHINESE HASH
This isn't really 'typical' Chinese food... but it has Chinese elements! *LOL* We used to eat this growing up ... I have recently been reintroduced to it through my sister, and boy am I ever glad! :-) It looks a bit , ummm... nasty when mixing *LOL* but it is very good! :)

Steps:
- Brown hamburger and onions.
- Add celery, rice, soups, water and sauces.
- Pour into a sprayed 13x9 pan.
- Bake at 350°F for an hour, stirring a couple of times during cooking.
- Top with chow mein noodles and bake 10-15 minutes longer.
- Enjoy!
