CHIPOTLE CHILI SLOPPY JOES

Steps:
- Preheat broiler. In a large skillet, cook beef, onion, green pepper and, if desired, jalapeno over medium heat until beef is no longer pink, breaking up beef into crumbles, 5-7 minutes; drain., Stir in chili sauce, water, chipotle peppers, brown sugar and mustard; bring to a boil. Simmer, uncovered, until slightly thickened, 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally., Lightly spread cut sides of rolls with butter; arrange on a baking sheet, buttered side up. Broil 3-4 in. from heat until lightly toasted, about 30 seconds. Fill with beef mixture and, if desired, pickles. Freeze option: Freeze cooled meat mixture in freezer containers. To use, partially thaw in refrigerator overnight. Heat through in a saucepan, stirring occasionally and adding a little water if necessary. Prepare sandwiches as directed.

This easy sloppy joe recipe is a bit different than your traditional sweet homemade sloppy joes! I've turned them into chili sloppy joes and they couldn't be tastier!

Steps:
- Add the ground beef to a large skillet and cook over medium heat, crumbling as it cooks.
- Add half of the diced onion when the meat is nearly cooked through and continue cooking until meat is no longer pink and onions are soft.
- Drain grease from the skillet and add the chili seasoning and brown sugar. Stir to coat the meat.
- Stir in the tomato sauce. Continue cooking, stirring often, for 5 minutes.
- Spoon the meat onto the hamburger buns and top with the shredded cheese and remaining diced onions, as desired.

- Brown the ground beef, onions and garlic until no pink remains. Drain any fat.
- Sauce:
- Stir in the chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, green pepper, tomatoes, tomato sauce, brown sugar, and cider vinegar in pot, and bring to a simmer over medium heat.
- Let simmer 10 to 15 minutes or until thickened.
- Stir in the beans. Set aside.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high on one side
- Place the slider buns in a pan or cast iron skillet.
- Top with the meat mixture and cheddar cheese.
- Topping:
- Combine the butter, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, onion flakes, poppy seeds, chili powder, and hot sauce in a bowl.
