MILD BUFFALO DRUMSTICKS
These have all the flavor of Buffalo wings, but with the heat dialed back, so they can please every palate. If you prefer yours spicy, simply increase the amount of hot sauce. Drumsticks make a substantial meal, and oven-roasting gets them crispy without the fuss of frying. You can substitute blue cheese dip for ranch.

- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Place a baking rack on a baking sheet and set aside.
- In a large bowl combine 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon paprika and 1 teaspoon celery salt. Add the drumsticks and drizzle with the oil, then toss with the spice mixture to coat. Place the drumsticks on the rack and bake, turning the drumsticks over halfway through, until the skin is starting to crisp, 30 to 35 minutes.
- Meanwhile, add the peppers, vinegar, hot sauce, remaining teaspoon garlic powder, remaining teaspoon paprika, remaining teaspoon celery salt and 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt to a blender and blend until pureed. Add the butter and puree again until well-combined. Remove 1/3 cup sauce and brush it on the drumsticks.
- Return the drumsticks to the oven and bake until the sauce is thickened and the chicken's juices run clear when pierced with a knife or the chicken registers 165 degrees F on an instant-read thermometer (avoid touching bone), 10 minutes. Serve immediately with celery sticks, ranch dressing and the remaining Buffalo sauce.
EASY STICKY CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS RECIPE BY TASTY
Here's what you need: chicken drumsticks, garlic, ginger, red chili, honey, soy sauce, sesame seed, spring onion

Steps:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the garlic, ginger, chili, honey, and soy sauce.
- Mix in the chicken drumsticks.
- Cover with cling film and leave to marinate in the fridge for 4-6 hours, or overnight.
- Fry the chicken in a large pan, on all sides for about 10-15 minutes, stirring often to prevent the marinade from burning, until golden brown.
- Remove from the pan and pour in the marinade.
- Bring to a boil and stir, until the marinade is thick and resembles a sauce.
- Throw the chicken back in the pan and fry for a further 5-10 minutes in the sauce, making sure each drumstick is evenly coated and cooked through.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and spring onions.
- Enjoy!

Why should chicken wings have all the fun? ;-) personally, I don't like margarine, but if you want that really "authentic" buffalo flavor (which I always found a bit junky), replace the butter with margarine.

- Preheat oven to 400 dgrees. Line a large, rimmed baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top. Pat drumsticks dry.
- In a large bowl, toss together drumsticks with vegetable oil, salt, and pepper. Place chicken on wire rack and bake until crispy and cooked through turning occasionally, 50-55 minutes. Remove from oven and preheat broiler.
- Meanwhile, mix together hot sauce, minced garlic and butter. Toss legs in sauce until coated, then transfer back onto baking sheet. Broil until crispy and golden, about 2 minutes more.
- Serve with ranch, carrots, and celery, (optional).

SIMPLE BAKED CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS
I wanted a basic way to cook drumsticks since they are cheaper than the breasts. I didn't want alot of spice or sauce on it so if you are looking that, this is not the recipe for you. We found it just right for us, the flavor of the chicken really comes through. I served with corn and twice baked potato casserole.

- Put some olive oil in the bottom of a 9x13 pan (just enough to put the drumsticks on).
- Add drumsticks (space enough apart so they aren't touching each other).
- Sprinkle generously with pepper and garlic powder. Sprinkle lightly with salt. Add rosemary to the chicken, if desired.
- Bake at 375° F for half an hour. Turn drumsticks over and add more garlic powder, pepper and salt (same as before). Top with the parsley.
- Bake another half an hour, or until cooked until 160°F.

- Cut off the wing tips, reserving them for another use such as stock if desired, and halve the wings at the joint. Separate the "drumstick," or first-joint, pieces (the thick ones) from the second-joint pieces. Beginning at the narrower end of each "drumstick," with a sharp knife cut the tendons and, holding the exposed end of the bone with a kitchen towel, scrape the skin and meat down the bone as far as possible toward the thicker end to make a plump drumstick shape. Cut through the cartilage at one end of each second-joint piece, separating the bones, scrape the skin and meat down the large bone to make a plump drumstick shape, and pull out and discard the smaller bone. Arrange all of the "drumsticks" in a shallow dish, sprinkle them with the lemon juice and salt and pepper to taste, and let them marinate, covered and chilled, for 1 hour.
- Make the batter while the chicken is marinating:
- In a bowl whisk together the flour, the salt, the paprika, the cumin, the pepper, the thyme, and the cayenne and make a well in the center. Add the beer and the oil in a stream, whisking, and whisk the batter until it is smooth. Let the batter stand at room temperature for 1 hour. Stir the batter before using it.
- In a large deep fryer or large deep kettle heat 2 inches of the oil to 375°F. on a deep-fat thermometer. Dip the chicken in the batter and fry it in the oil, 5 pieces at a time, turning it, for 3 minutes, or until it is cooked through and golden. Transfer the chicken with a slotted spoon as it is fried to paper towels to drain and make sure the oil returns to 375°F. before adding each new batch. Sprinkle the "drumsticks" with salt to taste, arrange them on a platter, and garnish the platter with the parsley sprigs.
