1 large white onion, chopped
½ cup honey
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup soy sauce
¼ cup butter
2 teaspoons mustard powder
1 ½ teaspoons garlic, minced
5 pounds chicken wings

Steps:

  • Stir onion, honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, butter, mustard powder, and garlic together in a saucepan over medium heat; cook until hot, about 5 minutes.
  • Spread chicken wings in an even layer into a shallow baking dish; pour sauce over the wings.
  • Marinate wings in refrigerate 1 hour to overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Bake the chicken wings, turning occasionally, until no longer pink at the bone and the juices run clear, about 90 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted near the bone should read 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

¼ cup honey
2 tablespoons sesame oil
2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon chopped fresh ginger
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 ½ pounds chicken wings
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
3 scallions (green onions), chopped

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  • Whisk honey, sesame oil, soy sauce, ginger, and garlic together in a small bowl.
  • Arrange chicken wings on prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake chicken in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Brush 1/2 of the honey mixture over the wings; bake for 10 minutes. Brush remaining sauce over wings, sprinkle sesame seeds over the top, and bake wings until no longer pink at the bone and juices run clear, about 5 minutes more. An instant-read thermometer inserted near the bone should read 165 degrees F (74 degrees C). Garnish wings with scallions.

1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon ground mustard
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
12 chicken wings, divided at joints (discard tips)
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/3 cup sesame seeds

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°F
  • Mix all the honey dip ingredients well. Refrigerate or set aside to serve at room temperature.
  • CHICKEN: Mix mayo, ground mustard, onion and garlic powder in a medium bowl. Add chicken pieces, mixing to coat, and set aside.
  • Mix crumbs and sesame seeds together in another bowl (or a plastic grocery bag for ease).
  • Coat chicken pieces (one at a time) with the breadcrumb mixture and place them onto baking sheet. Bake 20-25 minutes or until done and lightly brown. Serve with honey dipping sauce.
  • TO TOAST SESAME SEEDS: Place seeds in a non-stick saute' pan over medium heat. Heat, stirring occasionally, for 4-5 minutes or until seeds are toasted. Do not walk away as once they begin to brown, they do so rather quickly.

6 tablespoons honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons peanut or other vegetable oil
2 tablespoons sherry vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoons peeled, grated fresh ginger
3/4 teaspoon dark sesame oil
1 large clove garlic, minced
1/8 teaspoon ground coriander
1 scallion (white and green), thinly sliced
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
3 pounds chicken wings

Steps:

  • Combine the honey, soy sauce, oil, vinegar, ginger, sesame oil, garlic, coriander, scallion, and red pepper in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer. Remove from the heat and cool to room temperature.
  • Cut the wing tips off the chicken wings and discard. Separate the wings into two pieces at the joint. Season with salt and pepper. Put the wings in a shallow baking dish, and cover with the sauce. Cover with plastic wrap and marinate the wings in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Strain the wings from the marinade, reserving the marinade. Spread the wings out on a foil-lined baking pan. Bake the wings, basting with the marinade every 10 minutes during the first 30 minutes of cooking. (Discard any excess marinade.) Continue to bake until the wings are browned and cooked through, about 15 to 20 minutes more. Serve immediately.

4 teaspoons sesame oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
4 cups shredded cooked chicken breast
3 packages (8 ounces each) reduced-fat cream cheese
1 jar (10 ounces) sweet-and-sour sauce
2 cups chopped fresh baby spinach
1 cup thinly sliced green onions (about 8)
1/2 cup chopped salted peanuts
Sesame rice crackers

Steps:

  • Mix soy sauce, sesame oil and garlic; toss with chicken. Refrigerate, covered, at least 1 hour., Spread cream cheese onto a large serving plate; top with sweet-and-sour-sauce, spinach and chicken. Sprinkle with green onions and peanuts.   • Set up a gas or charcoal grill for medium heat (350° to 400°; you can hold your hand 5 in. above the cooking grate only 5 to 7 seconds). Put chicken on grill and cover with lid. Cook, turning often, until golden brown, 10 to 15 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, combine honey and hoisin sauce. Using a pastry brush, generously baste chicken wings with honey glaze. Cover grill with lid and cook till honey glaze starts to caramelize, about 3 minutes. Turn chicken wings over and baste again, using the remaining honey glaze. Cook 3 minutes more, being careful not to let the glaze burn, removing pieces from the grill as they're done.
  • Transfer to a platter. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onion. Serve any remaining honey glaze on the side.
