4 boneless chicken breast
1 can cream of chicken soup
1-2 cups pepperidge farm stuffing mix crumbs herb seasoned
1/3 cup water
4 slices baby swiss or swiss cheese
1/2 cup butter

Steps:

  • Place chicken breasts in greased casserole dish. Put ½ slice of cheese on each piece. Dilute chicken soup with 1/3 Cup water and pour over the chicken. Sprinkle stuffing mix over top and pour the melted butter over all. Bake uncovered at 350 for 1 hour. Let stand for 15 minutes before serving.

My friend Pat used to make this for us all the time when our kids were little. Now I am making for other not so little anymore kids.

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 chicken breasts, boiled with 1/4 stick butter
8 oz pepperidge farm herb seasoned stuffing mix
1 can(s) cream of celery soup
1 can(s) cream of chicken soup
1 egg
1 stick butter

Steps:

  • 1. Mix stuffing mix with butter (melted) and egg.
  • 2. Mix celery soup with 3/4 cup of broth used to cook chicken. Do same with chicken soup.
  • 3. Place in casserole 1 layer of stuffing, 1 layer chicken, celery soup mix, 1 layer stuffing, 1 layer chicken, cream chicken soup mix, and remainder of stuffing.
  • 4. Bake at 325-degrees for 1 hour.

2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans condensed cream of chicken soup
1 Cup milk
7 oz package Pepperidge Farm herb seasoned stuffing mix
1/2 cup margarine or butter

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees Simmer chicken breasts in water to cover for 1 1/2 hours Save 1 cup broth. Cut up chicken. Arrange in 9x13x2 inch glass baking dish. In a small bowl, combine soup and milk; pour over chicken. Sprinkle stuffing mix over chicken. In small saucepan, heat reserved chicken broth and butter to boiling. Let butter melt. Pour over stuffing. Bake 1 hour.

2 packages frozen broccoli -- cooked
2 tablespoons chopped onion
1/2 package Pepperidge Farm Stuffing
1/2 cup melted margarine
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of mushroom or celery soup

Steps:

  • Drain veggies and mix with onions and stuffing. Place in a 2 quart casserole or flat baking dish. Dribble margarine and spoon soup over mixture. Cover and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 15 minutes more. DO NOT STIR

This is my mother-in-law's recipe, and one of my husband's favorite meals! It is a warm and delicious comfort food casserole. Note: Using the blue package of Herb Seasoned Pepperidge Farm stuffing is a MUST! It sets up the whole flavor of the meal. If you are trying to clear out the cupboard or are unable to get the blue package, then you'll need to use two of the standard sized boxes (8 oz.) of stuffing, preferably herb seasoned.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 (16 ounce) package Pepperidge Farm stuffing (herb seasoned-blue package, see note above)
1/2-1 cup butter
2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans cream soup (celery, mushroom, chicken)
1 (5 ounce) can evaporated milk
1/2 small onion, chopped
4 cups cooked chicken, chopped (rotisserie chicken works great!)
1 (15 ounce) can sweet peas or 2 cups frozen peas

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In large pot, melt butter over medium-high heat.
  • Add dry stuffing, stir to coat evenly with butter.
  • Layer 1/2 stuffing on bottom of an ungreased 9 x 13 baking dish.
  • In large bowl, combine evaporated milk, cream soups, and onion.
  • Gently fold in peas and chicken.
  • Pour chicken/soup mixture over stuffing in baking dish.
  • Top with remaining stuffing.
  • Bake for 45 minutes, or until bubbling in the middle.
  • Serve and enjoy!

  • In a large skillet, heat 1 - 1 1/2 cups of chicken stock over medium/high heat. Add 3 garlic cloves, a palmful of salt, a little pepper, and 2 tbsp of butter (the butter is optional - but why not).
