Chicken Elegante image

Chicken with cream of mushroom and sour cream sauce baked with dried beef and bacon. My father is a firefighter and brought this one home when I was a child. I have loved it ever since. It is most important that you use FROZEN chicken and not fresh otherwise the dish will not work. This a nice recipe because it is super fast to prepare and then just walk away from until it is done cooking.

1 (2 lb) bag frozen boneless skinless chicken (tenders or breast)
1 -16 ounce sour cream
2 (10 ounce) cans cream of mushroom soup (or 1 family size cream of mushroom soup)
1 (4 ounce) jar dried beef
1 (16 ounce) package bacon (any type you like)
1 teaspoon garlic salt (optional)
1 teaspoon ground pepper (optional)
1 (16 ounce) package egg noodles

Steps:

  • -Preheat oven to 375.
  • -Mix the Sour Cream with the 2 cans of Cream of mushroom Soup. (add garlic salt and pepper to taste if you like more flavor (I highly recommend it).
  • -Line a 13 x 9 glass baking dish with the dried beef. (edges slightly overlapping so that the whole bottom is covered).
  • -Place FROZEN chicken on top of the dried beef in baking dish (chicken should not be sitting on top of eachother, just one layer).
  • -Pour Sour Cream and Cream of Mushroom mixture over FROZEN chicken so that it covers.
  • -Place Four (4) strips of bacon over the top width wise.
  • -Put baking dish in 325 degree oven for 2 hours.
  • -After cooked place on a bed of cooked Egg Noodles and enjoy.

This is so easy! I use it when I'm having people over for dinner because it can easily be doubled to feed a large gathering or dinner party. Once you put it in the oven, you can forget about it for 2 hours and move on to something else. It's always a huge hit with our guests! Serve over rice and enjoy!

1 (2 ounce) package chipped beef
6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1 pound sliced bacon
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
½ teaspoon paprika

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 275 degrees F (135 degrees C).
  • Line the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish with slices of chipped beef. Wrap bacon slices around chicken breasts, and place on top of chipped beef. In a medium bowl, mix together condensed soup and sour cream. Pour sour cream mixture over chicken breasts, and sprinkle with paprika.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 2 hours.

3 whole chicken breasts, split
8 ounces sour cream
1 (10 ounce) can Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup
1/2 cup butter
8 ounces hillshire farm seasoned stuffing mix
1 1/2 cups chicken broth

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Boil chicken 20-40 minutes until almost fully cooked. Pull apart into bite size pieces.
  • Mix chicken with sour cream and cream of mushroom soup.
  • Spread mixture into a buttered pan.
  • Melt butter.
  • Pour stuffing mix into a mixing bowl, stir in butter and chicken broth. Spread over chicken mixture.
  • Bake 30 minutes or until bubbly.
  • If desired serve with cranberry sauce on the side.

1/4 cup GREY POUPON Dijon Mustard
1 tsp. dill weed
8 small boneless skinless chicken breasts (2 lb.), pounded to 1/2-inch thickness
4 KRAFT Big Slice Swiss Cheese Slices, cut in half
1 pkg. (17.3 oz.) frozen puff pastry sheets (2 sheets), thawed
1 egg white
1 Tbsp. cold water

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375ºF
  • Mix mustard and dill; spread onto chicken. Top with cheese; roll up, starting at one short end of each.
  • Roll each pastry sheet on lightly floured surface to 12-inch square; cut into 4 (6-inch) squares. Whisk egg white and water until blended; brush onto edges of squares. Top with chicken. Bring corners of each pastry square together over chicken; press together to seal. Place, seam-sides down, on baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Brush with remaining egg.
  • Bake 30 min. or until pastry is lightly browned and chicken is done (165°F).

3/4 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning
1/4 teaspoon allspice ground
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon ground
1 (16-ounce) can peaches sliced, drained
3/4 cup green seedless grapes
3 tablespoons water cold
2 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 cup almonds toasted sliced (optional)

Steps:

  • Preparation Time: 20 minutesSlow Cooker Cooking Time: 3 to 4 hours on high or 6 to 8 hours on lowLast-Minute Cooking Time: 15 minutes on high plus about 5 minutes on stovetop1. Remove skin, if desired, and excess fat from chicken pieces rinse and pat dry. In a large skillet over medium-low heat, brown chicken in butter. Do not crowd pieces.2. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, stir orange juice concentrate, bouillon granules, celery salt, 1/2 teaspoon of the lemon-pepper seasoning, allspice and cinnamon until blended.3. 2 tablespoons bourbon whiskey
1 tablespoon parsley

1 1/2 cups Kellogg's® corn flake crumbs or 6 cups Kellogg's® corn flakes (crushed to 1 1/2 cups)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 egg
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons margarine or butter, melted

Steps:

  • 1. Place chicken in single layer in shallow dish. In small mixing bowl, stir together water, oil, whiskey, parsley, ginger and lemon juice. Pour over chicken. Cover and chill at least 2 hours, turning pieces several times. Drain chicken, reserving marinade.2. Measure KELLOGG'S Corn Flake Crumbs into shallow dish or pan. Stir in salt and garlic salt. Set aside.3. In small mixing bowl, beat egg slightly. Stir in reserved marinade. Add flour, mixing until smooth. Dip chicken in batter and coat with Crumbs mixture. Place in single layer, skin side up, shallow baking pan coated with cooking spray. Drizzle with margarine.4. Bake at 350° F about 1 hour or until chicken is tender, no longer pink and juices run clear. Do not cover pan or turn chicken while baking. Serve hot.
