If you don't like a strong taste of tequila in your margarita, then this recipe is for you. It's a mild tasting margarita. This has the sweet and tart flavors you expect from a margarita, but the beer adds a bubbly flavor we loved. It's perfect to sip on while enjoying chips and salsa.

Ingredients

1 can(s) frozen limeade, 12 oz.
2 can(s) cold water
2 c tequila
1 1/2 c orange liqueur
1 can(s) cold beer, 12 oz.
1 lime, sliced
margarita salt (optional)
ice

Steps:

1. In a large pitcher, mix together limeade and water.
2. Add tequila, orange liqueur and beer; mix well.
3. Run a slice of lime around the rim of a margarita glass.
4. Then dip rim into a dish of salt.
5. Add ice to glass, fill with margarita mixture and serve. (Garnish with slice of lime, if desired.)

Ingredients

1 1/2 ounces el jimador silver tequila
1/2 ounce triple sec
1/2 cup prepared sweet-and-sour mix
salt, around the rim
lime wedge

Steps:

Put a handful of ice into a shaker.
Add all ingredients and shake. Pour the drink into a 12-ounce margarita glass (salt the rim first, if you want).
Garnish with a lime wedge on a toothpick, add a straw, and serve.

Finely grated lime zest
Coarse kosher salt
Lime slice or wedge
2 ounces top-shelf tequila (recommended: Cuervo Gold or anejo tequila)
1-ounce orange-flavored liqueur (recommended: Grand Marnier or Cointreau)
1 1/2 ounces lime juice, or more, to taste
1 1/2 cups ice cubes

Steps:

In a small shallow bowl or rimmed saucer combine the lime zest and salt and mix well. Run the lime slice around the rim of a stemmed, wide mouthed glass to moisten it, then turn the glass upside down and press the rim in the salt mixture. Set glass aside.
In a cocktail shaker combine all remaining ingredients and shake well to chill. Strain into the prepared glass and serve immediately.
