1/2 lb. Lean Ground Beef
2 tbsp. Ketchup
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. whole-grain mustard
black pepper
4 pita breads
1/2 c. jarred pizza sauce
1/2 small Red Onion
1 c. cherry or grape tomatoes
3/4 c. shredded cheddar
1 c. baby arugula

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 450 degrees F. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until no longer pink, 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire, mustard, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
  • Place the pita breads on 2 baking sheets. Spread the pizza sauce over the pitas, leaving a 1/2-inch border. Top with the onion, then the beef, tomatoes, and cheese. Bake until crusts are golden brown and crisp, 10 to 12 minutes. Top with the arugula.

You won't believe how good this Cheeseburger Flatbread Pizza is. It's literally a cheeseburger on a pizza...loaded with hamburger, cheese, pickles, and special sauce.

2 Naan flatbreads
1 lb. ground beef
2 TBS extra virgin olive oil
1 TBS sesame seeds (optional)
1 TBS mayonnaise
4 TBS ketchup
2 teaspoons yellow mustard
1 TBS sweet pickle relish
3-4 dill pickles - sliced
4 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
4 ounces of shredded lettuce
Salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and sweet pickle relish
  • Preheat oven to 400°
  • Brush both sides of both Naan pieces of bread with the olive oil.
  • Sprinkle one side of each with the sesame seeds (optional)
  • Cook on a cookie sheet for 15 minutes until it browns.
  • Cook ground beef, strain the extra grease.
  • Spread equal amounts of the sauce on each of the Naan pieces.
  • Add the ground beef on top.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Sprinkle 2 ounces of the cheddar cheese on each pizza.
  • Divide the pickle slices between each pizza.
  • Return the flatbread pizzas to the oven and cook for 5-6 minutes, until the cheese starts to melt.
  • Remove the pizzas from the oven, top each with shredded lettuce.
  • Slice and serve.

  • Before You Cook Turn oven on to 400 degrees. 1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
½ cup chopped onions
½ cup dill pickle slices
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 cup diced tomatoes

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir beef, salt, and pepper in the hot skillet until meat is browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes; drain and discard grease.

As in a classic diner cheeseburger, mustard tops the ground beef in this pizza, which bubbles with melted American cheese, fresh red onion and dill pickles. Serve it with shredded lettuce on the side to complete the burger experience and make this a "one-crust" meal that comes to the table in an hour flat.

1 tablespoon yellow mustard, plus more for serving
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
All-purpose flour, for dusting
1 pound refrigerated pizza dough
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 teaspoons sesame seeds
2 cups shredded American cheese (about 8 ounces)1/4 whole dill pickle, sliced into thin rounds
1/4 small red onion, finely diced, then rinsed and drained
Ketchup, for serving
Shredded lettuce, for serving, optional

Steps:

  • Place a baking stone or inverted large baking sheet on the lowest rack of the oven and preheat to 450 degrees F.
  • Cook the beef in a medium skillet over medium heat just until no longer pink, about 4 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the beef to paper towels to drain and let cool 5 minutes. Put the cooled beef in a bowl, stir in the mustard to coat and sprinkle with some salt and pepper.
  • Dust a sheet of parchment paper set on a pizza peel or inverted baking sheet with some flour.
