1 lb cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 cup soft butter
1 egg
1/4 cup water
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup parsley, chopped

Steps:

  • Beat cheese and butter.
  • Add egg and water.
  • Blend.
  • Combine flour, salt, sugar, baking powder and paprika.
  • Add flour mixture, onions and parsley to the cheese mixture.
  • Blend.
  • Roll into small to medium balls.
  • Put on cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Serve warm.

2 c all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 c onion, finely chopped
1/4 c parsley flakes

Steps:

  • 1. Beat cheese and butter.
  • 2. Add egg and water and blend.
  • 3. Combine flour, salt, sugar, baking powder and paprika.
  • 4. Add flour mixture, onions and parsley to the cheese mixture and blend.
  • 5. Drop onto cookie sheet.
  • 6. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • 7. May be frozen and thawed. Reheat at 375 for 5 minutes.
  • 8. Makes 8 dozen.
