CHEDDAR-GREEN OLIVE BREADSTICKS

Steps:
- Heat oven to 350°. Spray 2 cookie sheets with cooking spray. Stir Bisquick mix, milk, cheese and olives until soft dough forms. Place dough on surface dusted with Bisquick mix; gently roll in Bisquick mix to coat. Shape into a ball; knead 10 times.
- Divide dough into 15 equal parts. Roll each into a breadstick about 8 inches long. Place on cookie sheet.
- Brush egg over dough. Bake 11 to 14 minutes or until light golden brown. Serve warm with olive oil or marinara sauce for dipping.

ONION CHEESE YEAST BREAD RECIPE
Savory onion and cheese bread is light with a crisp crust, tender crumb, and great onion and sharp cheddar flavor. Try it for your next grilled cheese or ham sandwich.

Steps:
- Add the yeast and ginger to the water with a teaspoon of the sugar.
- Stir together in a bowl and set aside for 5 minutes.
- Mix buttermilk, sugar, salt, baking soda in with the yeast mixture.
- Add three cups of flour and mix until smooth.
- Mix in butter, onions, and cheese until it is totally incorporated into batter.
- Now, begin to add the rest of the flour, one cup at a time, keeping mixer on low speed.
- When dough pulls from the sides of the bowl remove it from the mixer to a floured surface and knead until elastic and smooth. Or, knead with the mixer according to manufacturer's instructions.
- Place in greased bowl, turn to grease the top, cover and allow to rise for 1 -1/2 hours.
- Punch down and form into two loaves.
- Place in greased loaf pans and grease tops.
- Cover, and allow to rise for 45 minutes.
- Brush tops with egg yolk mixed with a teaspoon of water to make it glossy.
- Preheat oven to 400F. Bake for 30 minutes, covering tops with foil if they brown too fast.
- Remove loaves from oven and allow to cool in pans for 10 minutes.
- Turn out and cool completely on a rack.
- Cover the loaves if you want soft crusts.

CHEESE AND ROSEMARY BREADSTICKS
Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Line 2 heavy large baking sheets with silicone baking sheets or parchment paper. In a food processor, chop the Parmesan, Gruyere and rosemary together until coarsely chopped. Set the cheese mixture aside. Separate the dough strips. Using a pizza cutter or a large sharp knife, cut each dough strip in half lengthwise to form thin strips. Working with dough strip at a time, coat each strip with the cheese mixture, pressing very gently. Twist each cheese covered dough strip and place onto prepared baking sheets. Sprinkle with the salt, if you wish.
- Bake until the breadsticks are golden brown, about 10 to 15 minutes. Transfer the warm breadsticks to a basket and serve.
SOFT ONION BREADSTICKS

- In a small skillet, saute onion in oil until tender; cool. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add the milk, butter, 1 egg, sugar, salt and 1 cup flour. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Stir in onion and enough remaining flour to form a soft dough. , Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, 6-8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour. , Punch dough down. Let stand for 10 minutes. - Knead gently 3 or 4 times on a floured surface.
