NO YOLKS® Cheater Lasagne image

This make-ahead casserole has the same appeal as traditional lasagne, but is much less fussy to make. Serve with a leafy green salad and garlic bread to feed a hungry crowd.

1 (12 ounce) package NO YOLKS® Broad Noodles
1 pound extra lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 teaspoons minced garlic
4 ⅔ cups tomato and basil pasta sauce
1 cup water
2 cups 2% cottage cheese
⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • Prepare the noodles according to package directions. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Meanwhile, crumble the beef into a large deep skillet or Dutch oven set over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic; cook, stirring until browned. Stir in the sauce until combined; stir in the noodles.
  • Blend the cottage cheese with the Parmesan cheese. Layer 1/2 of the noodle mixture into a 9 x 13-inch (3 L) casserole. Top with the cottage cheese mixture. Spread the remaining noodle mixture over top. (The casserole can be covered and reserved in the refrigerator for up to 1 day. Add an extra 10 minutes to the initial baking time.)
  • Bake, covered, for 20 minutes; uncover and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Bake for 10 minutes or until cheese is bubbly.

My husband had kept hinting for Lasagna and I just hadn't had time... so walking through the grocery store I saw cheese filled ravioli. Well that's the cheese and the noodles, all I'd need would be sauce, meat & cheese for the top... and this was born in my head. My husband loved it. Super Easy! Photo Coming!

1 pkg refrigerated cheese filled ravioli
1 jar(s) spaghetti sauce
1-1 1/2 lb ground beef
1 pkg mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Turn on oven to 325. Brown hamburger, (You can add onions, peppers & mushrooms, or not). What ever you like. Add the jar of sauce, and about 1 cup of water. Spray cooking spray lightly in bottom of 7x11" baking dish. Layer a small amount of sauce, then ravioli's, cheese layer and repeat. I usually keep a small amount of cheese for the top. Bake 35 to 45 minutes, or until the lasagna is lightly browned and bubbly.

1 jar 24-26 oz pasta sauce, or use quick tomato sauce (recipe in intro).
2 24 oz bags frozen large or jumbo cheese ravioli, partially thawed.
1 lb sweet Italian sausage, cooked, drained and crumbled.
1 16 oz package frozen, chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry.
8 oz shredded mozzarella
1/2 c grated parmesan

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350. Spoon one third of pasta sauce into a 9 x 13 baking dish. Place half of ravioli on top of sauce in one layer, squeezing to fit as necessary. Sprinkle with all of cooked sausage, all of spinach, and half of mozzarella. Layer on remaining ravioli. Top with remaining sauce, remaining mozarella, and parmesan. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake until bubbling, 5-10 minutes more.
