CHAMPAGNE PUNCH

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 can (20-ounce) crushed pineapple in heavy syrup
1 cup fresh lemon juice
1 cup maraschino cherry juice
1 cup dark rum
1/2 cup brandy
1 bottle (750 ml) chilled inexpensive brut Champagne

Steps:

  • In a large punch bowl or pitcher, stir pineapple, lemon juice, cherry juice, rum, and brandy to blend. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Add Champagne just before serving.

1 1/3 cups fresh lemon juice
1 cup superfine sugar
1/2 cup orange liqueur (recommended: Grand Marnier)
1/2 cup Triple Sec
1/2 cup cognac
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
2 bottles chilled dry Champagne or sparkling wine
Orange or lemon slices
Fresh strawberries, optional

Steps:

  • Combine the lemon juice, sugar, orange liqueur, Triple Sec, cognac, and orange juice in a non-reactive bowl and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Add the Champagne and stir to combine. Cover and refrigerate until chilled, about 1 hour.
  • Pour into a decorative bowl or pitcher. Garnish with orange or lemon slices and fresh strawberries, if desired. Serve in Champagne flutes, wine glasses, or punch cups.

1 ounce V.S.O.P. Cognac
2 ounces ruby port
Orange wheel for garnish
raspberries for garnish

Steps:

  • In a cocktail shaker, dissolve sugar in lemon juice. Add ice, Cognac and port. Shake well and strain into a highball glass full of shaved ice. Garnish with orange wheel and a few raspberries.

  • In a cocktail shaker, stir sugar into lemon juice to dissolve. Toss in two handfuls of cracked ice, add port and Cognac, and shake. Strain into a small glass, add ice and ornament with berries and, if you like, orange slices.
