2 ounces tequila
1 ounce Chambord raspberry liquor
1 ounce simple syrup (made with 1 part sugar, 1 part water)
1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
lime wedge, for garnish

Steps:

  • Add the tequila, Chambord, simple syrup, lemon juice, and lime juice to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  • Shake vigorously; strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
  • If serving frozen, combine liquid ingredients in a blender with ¾ cup ice; blend until smooth; pour into a chilled cocktail glass.
  • Garnish with lime wedge.

I haven't tried this yet, but it appears to be accurate. This recipe was on www.drinksmixer.com but it doesn't say who posted it. The recipe on the website says to use Jose Cuervo 1800 tequila, but the drink description on the Chili's drink menu says they use 1800 Reposado Tequila, so I'm going with what the menu says. The recipe just says 'reposado tequila' due to a recipezaar formatting error, but it is 1800 Reposado.

2 ounces reposado tequila
1 ounce Cointreau liqueur
1 ounce Chambord raspberry liquor
4 ounces prepared sweet-and-sour mix
1 orange wedge (optional)

Steps:

  • Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Shake well, and pour over ice in a salt-rimmed margarita glass. Serve with orange wedge, just like they do at Chili's.

  • Add tequila, lime juice, simple syrup, and Chambord to a cocktail shaker or large jar with a tight fitting lid, then fill 3/4 of the way up with ice. Shake to combine. Place salty and sweet lime margarita salt in a shallow dish then run a lime wedge around the rim of 2 cocktail glasses and dunk into lime sugar. Fill glasses with ice then strain in margaritas and serve.
  • For the simple syrup: Add water and sugar to a microwave safe jar or bowl then stir to combine. Microwave for 3 minutes, stirring halfway through then cool completely (can be done up to a week ahead of time.)
  • For the salty and sweet lime margarita salt: Add sugar, salt, and lime zest to a food processor or blender then process until smooth.
