These cookies consist of a shortbread crust, firm caramel center, and a milk chocolate top. They are super-easy to make and they take only 20 minutes to bake.

⅔ cup butter, softened
¼ cup white sugar
1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
½ cup butter
½ cup packed light brown sugar
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
½ cup sweetened condensed milk
1 ¼ cups milk chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 C).
  • In a medium bowl, mix together 2/3 cup butter, white sugar, and flour until evenly crumbly. Press into a 9 inch square baking pan. Bake for 20 minutes.
  • In a 2 quart saucepan, combine 1/2 cup butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, and sweetened condensed milk. Bring to a boil. Continue to boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and beat vigorously with a wooden spoon for about 3 minutes. Pour over baked crust (warm or cool). Cool until it begins to firm.
  • Place chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 1 minute, then stir and continue to heat and stir at 20 second intervals until chocolate is melted and smooth. Pour chocolate over the caramel layer and spread evenly to cover completely. Chill. Cut into 1 inch squares. These need to be small because they are so rich.

I am a chocolate lover and these are sinful! They are always a favorite when I bring them to parties. They taste like a homemade candy bar.

1 (18 ounce) box German chocolate cake mix
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1 (16 ounce) bag caramels
3/4 cup butter, melted
1 (12 ounce) bag chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Mix together cake mix, butter, and 1/3 cup of the evaporated milk.
  • In a greased cake pan, spread half of the batter evenly in the pan and bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, over low heat or in the microwave, melt unwrapped caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk until smooth and creamy, stirring often.
  • Remove half baked crust from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
  • Drizzle caramel over crust.
  • Drop remaining batter on top of crust and bake for 14-17 minutes.
  • Cool slightly and refridgerate to allow caramel to set up.

1 (400 g) can top n fill caramel
2 (375 g) bags white chocolate chips
60 g butter

Steps:

  • Place all ingredients into a microwave safe bowl.
  • Microwave for 1 minute, stir.
  • Microwave again for 1 minute, stir.
  • Continue doing this until chocolate is melted, and all ingredients are combined and smooth.
  • Pour into a lined slice tin, and refrigerate until set. Cut into squares, and serve!

  • In a large saucepan place the condensed milk, sugar, butter, golden syrup/corn syrup and salt. Heat gently on low heat, stirring until all the sugar has dissolved. Continue stirring the fudge constantly on low or low-medium heat until it’s simmering and has thickened and coats the back of a spatula/spoon – this will take about 3-5 minutes. Keep an eye on the stove at all times and adjust the heat, if necessary, so the mixture won’t burn.
  • Once the fudge has thickened, remove it from the heat. From this point on, work as quickly as possible, because the mixture will harden pretty quickly. Add the white chocolate and whisk until all the chocolate has melted.
  • Transfer the fudge mixture into prepared pan. Allow the fudge to cool slightly at room temperature, then cover the pan and leave it to set in the fridge for at least 4 hours. Once the fudge has set, cut it up in pieces (I recommend small pieces because the fudge is very rich) and serve.
