8 cups sliced peeled tart apples
33 caramels, divided
2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons 2% milk, divided
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup quick-cooking oats
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/8 teaspoon salt
Dash ground cinnamon
1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
Vanilla ice cream, optional

Steps:

  • Place the apples in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. In a heavy saucepan, melt 25 caramels with 2 tablespoons milk, stirring often; drizzle over apples. , In a large bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, walnuts, salt and cinnamon; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over apples. , Bake at 375° for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, in a heavy saucepan, melt remaining caramels with remaining milk, stirring often until smooth. Drizzle over dessert and ice cream if desired.

1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
PIE:
6 cups sliced peeled tart apples
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 unbaked pastry shell (9 inches)
28 caramels
1 can (5 ounces) evaporated milk

Steps:

  • Combine flour, brown sugar, butter and cinnamon; spread into an ungreased 8-in. square baking pan. Bake at 400° for 6-8 minutes or until golden brown. Cool; crumble and set aside. Sprinkle apple with lemon juice. Combine sugar, flour and cinnamon; toss with apples. Place apples in pie shell. Cut a circle of foil to cover apples but not the edge of pastry; place over pie. Bake at 425° for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 375°; bake for 35 minutes or until apples are tender., Meanwhile, in a saucepan over low heat, melt caramels with milk, stirring frequently. Remove foil from pie. Pour caramel mixture over apples. Sprinkle with topping; return to the oven for 5 minutes. Serve warm.

5 cups thinly sliced peeled tart apples (about 2 pounds)
1 unbaked pastry shell (9 inches)
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/3 cup cold butter, cubed
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • In a heavy saucepan, combine caramels and water. Cook and stir over low heat until melted; stir until smooth. , Arrange a third of the apples in pastry shell; drizzle with a third of the caramel mixture. Repeat layers twice. In a small bowl, combine the flour, sugar and cinnamon; cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in walnuts. Sprinkle over pie., Bake at 375° for 40-45 minutes or until apples are tender (cover edges with foil during the last 15 minutes to prevent overbrowning if necessary). Cool on a wire rack for 1 hour. 1 cup Pillsbury BEST® All Purpose Flour
½ cup firmly packed brown sugar
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ cup finely crushed gingersnap cookies
½ cup Crisco® Butter Shortening
1 cup toffee roasted or plain sliced almonds, coarsely crushed
1 cup Pillsbury BEST® All Purpose Flour
½ cup firmly packed brown sugar
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
⅛ teaspoon salt
6 each Granny Smith or Gala apples, peeled, cored, sliced into 1/4-inch slices
¼ cup Smucker's® Caramel Spoonable Ice Cream Topping
1 (6 ounce) container vanilla yogurt
1 ½ tablespoons Pillsbury BEST® All Purpose Flour
4 cups Ice Cream
½ cup Whipped cream or frozen whipped topping, thawed

Steps:

  • Prepare recipe for single crust pie. Roll out and place in 9-inch pie plate. Press to fit without stretching dough. Trim even with pie plate. Flute edges. Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Crumb Topping: Mix 1 cup flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and gingersnap crumbs. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in almond pieces.
  • Sprinkle 1 cup crumb topping in bottom of unbaked pie crust. Reserve remaining for on top of apples.
  • Apple Filling: Combine 1 cup flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt in large saucepan. Stir in apple slices. Cook over medium heat for 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until mixture starts to thicken. Remove from heat. Stir in caramel topping, yogurt and flour.
  • Spoon filling into prepared pie crust. Sprinkle top with remaining crumb topping. Place pie plate on cookie sheet to handle easier.
  • Bake 50 minutes or until browned and apples are tender. Cover crust with foil last 10 minutes if it browns too quickly. Cool.
  • Serve with ice cream. Add a dollop of whipped cream or drizzle with additional caramel topping, if desired.

1/2 cup honey-roasted peanuts, chopped
1/4 cup butter, melted
6 Snickers candy bars (1.86 ounces each), chopped
6 cups vanilla ice cream, slightly softened
1/4 cup hot caramel ice cream topping
1/4 cup hot fudge ice cream topping, warmed
Additional hot caramel and hot fudge ice cream topping, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°. Mix cookie crumbs and peanuts; stir in butter. Press onto bottom and up sides of a greased 9-in. pie plate. Bake until set, 10-12 minutes. 0.5 cup sugar
3 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
0.125 teaspoon salt
6 cup thinly sliced, peeled cooking apples
1 recipe Crumb Topping
0.5 cup chopped pecans
0.25 cup caramel ice-cream topping
1.25 cup all-purpose flour
0.25 teaspoon salt
0.333 cup shortening
4 tablespoon cold water
1 cup packed brown sugar
0.5 cup all-purpose flour
0.5 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
0.5 cup butter or margarine

Steps:

  • Prepare Pastry for Single-Crust Pie. On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough to a 12-inch circle. Transfer pastry to a 9-inch pie plate. Ease pastry into pie plate, being careful not to stretch pastry. Trim; crimp edge as desired.
  • In a large mixing bowl stir together sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt. Add apple slices and gently toss until coated. Transfer apple mixture to the pastry-lined pie plate. Sprinkle Crumb Topping over apple mixture.
  • To prevent overbrowning, cover edge of pie with foil. Bake in a 375 degree F oven for 25 minutes. Remove foil. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes more or until top is golden. Remove from oven; sprinkle pie with pecans, then drizzle with caramel topping. Cool on a wire rack. Makes 8 servings. Pastry for Single-Crust Pie
  • In a bowl stir together flour and salt. Using a pastry blender, cut in shortening until pieces are pea-size. Using 4 to 5 tablespoons cold water total, sprinkle 1 tablespoon of water at a time over the flour mixture, tossing with a fork until all of the dough is moistened. Form dough into a ball.   • Stir together brown sugar, flour, and rolled oats. Using a pastry blender, cut in butter or margarine until the topping mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Caramel Apple Flavor Bomb, recipe follows
One 8-inch graham cracker crust
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 tablespoon caramel sauce
1/4 cup candied nuts, chopped
One 17-ounce jar apple butter
3/4 cup caramel sauce
1 tablespoon apple pie spice

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the milk, pudding mix and 2/3 cup of the Caramel Apple Flavor Bomb. Whisk until well blended and the mixture starts to thicken. Pour into the crust and let set, refrigerated, for 2 hours.
  • In a large chilled bowl, combine the heavy cream and vanilla. Whip with a hand mixer until stiff peaks form. Add 1/4 cup of the Caramel Apple Flavor Bomb and whip until combined. Spread over the top of the pie.
  • Chill in the fridge until ready to serve. Right before serving, top with a drizzle of caramel sauce and chopped candied nuts.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the apple butter, caramel sauce and apple pie spice and mix until well blended. Transfer to a resealable container and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Mix into coffee, yogurt, oatmeal, milkshakes or whipped cream to taste.
