1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ oatmeal cookie mix
1 egg
1 cup finely chopped peeled apple
3/4 cup caramel topping
1/4 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Spray bottom of 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray.
  • In large bowl, cut butter into cookie mix using fork or pastry blender. Stir in egg until mixture is crumbly.
  • Reserve 1 1/2 cups cookie mixture. Press remaining cookie mixture into bottom of pan. Bake 15 minutes. Sprinkle apple evenly over crust. In small bowl, mix caramel topping and flour; drizzle over apples. Sprinkle reserved cookie mixture over apples.
  • Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely, about 2 hours. For bars, cut into 9 rows by 4 rows.

1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/4 cup shortening
1 3/4 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
4 1/2 cups coarsely chopped peeled tart apples (3 medium)
3 tablespoons Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
1 bag (14 ounces) caramels

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400°F. Mix brown sugar, butter and shortening in large bowl. Stir in 1 3/4 cups flour, the oats, salt and baking soda. Reserve 2 cups oat mixture; press remaining oat mixture in ungreased rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches.
  • Toss apples and 3 tablespoons flour; spread over mixture in pan. Heat caramels over low heat, stirring occasionally, until melted; pour evenly over apples. Sprinkle with reserved oat mixture; press lightly.
  • Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown and apples are tender. For 36 bars, cut into 6 rows by 6 rows while warm. Store covered in refrigerator.

32 caramels
1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
1 package yellow cake mix (regular size)
1/2 cup canola oil
2 eggs
2 cups miniature semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup vanilla or white chips
1 Heath candy bar (1.4 ounces), chopped

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, combine the butter, caramels and milk; cook and stir over medium-low heat until smooth. Cool. , In a large bowl, beat the cake mix, oil and eggs until blended. Stir in chips and chopped candy bar (dough will be stiff). , Press three-fourths into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Place on a wire rack for 10 minutes., Pour caramel mixture over the crust. Drop remaining dough by spoonfuls onto caramel layer. Bake for 25-30 minutes longer or until edges are golden brown. , Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes; run a knife around edges of pan. Cool 40 minutes longer; cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

2 cups quick cooking oats
1 ½ cups packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 ¼ cups butter
1 ½ cups caramel ice cream topping
½ cup all-purpose flour
2 cups chopped apples
½ cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 15 x 10 x 1 inch pan.
  • In a small pan over low heat, melt the butter or margarine. In large bowl, combine 2 cups flour, 2 cups quick cooking oats, brown sugar, baking soda, and melted butter or margarine. Mix until crumbly. Press half of mixture (about 2-1/2 cups) in the greased pan. Set aside the rest. Bake for 8 minutes.
  • In a small pan over medium heat, combine caramel topping and 1/2 cup flour. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Still stirring constantly, boil for 2 or 3 minutes until slightly thickened. Spread apples and nuts onto the baked crust. Pour hot caramel mixture evenly over apples and nuts. Sprinkle reserved crumbly mixture evenly over the top.
  • Return pan to oven. Bake 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely in pan. Cut into bars. (Refrigeration makes cutting easier). Store tightly covered.

2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. rum extract
2 red apples, chopped
1/4 cup chopped lightly salted cocktail peanut
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 Tbsp. caramel ice cream topping

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350ºF.
  • Beat butter, cake mix and 1 egg in large bowl with mixer until crumbly. Reserve 3/4 cup crumb mixture; press remaining onto bottom of 13x9-inch pan sprayed with cooking spray. Bake 10 min.
  • Meanwhile, beat cream cheese, granulated sugar and rum extract until blended. Add remaining egg; mix well.
  • Spread cream cheese mixture over crust; top with chopped apples. Sprinkle with nuts and ground cinnamon; drizzle with caramel topping. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture.
  • Bake 45 min. or until center is set and crumb topping is lightly browned. Cool completely. Refrigerate 30 min. before cutting into bars.

1 (15.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
½ cup unsalted butter, cut into cubes
1 cup evaporated milk, divided
3 medium apples - peeled, cored and chopped
1 (11 ounce) package individually wrapped caramels, unwrapped
¼ cup cinnamon chips, or more to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  • Place cake mix in a bowl and cut in butter with 2 knives or a pastry blender. Stir in 1/2 cup evaporated milk, then apples. Pour 1/2 of the batter into the prepared pan and set remaining batter aside.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  • While bottom bar layer is baking, combine caramel candies and 1/2 cup evaporated milk in a saucepan over low heat; cook and stir until melted. Remove from the heat.
  • Remove the baking pan from the oven and drizzle caramel mixture over top. Sprinkle with cinnamon chips and pour reserved batter over top. Return to the oven and bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 20 to 30 more minutes.
