CANTALOUPE FIESTA COCKTAIL



Cantaloupe Fiesta Cocktail image

An amazing blended tequila and cantaloupe cocktail drink-once you try one, you'll be ready to blend up another! To keep your cocktail cold, place freezer-safe cocktail glasses in the freezer to chill in advance, or just plop an ice cube or two in the finished drink.

1/4 chilled cantaloupe, seeds removed
1 1/2 ounces silver/blanco tequila
1 lime, juiced
1/2 teaspoon agave nectar or simple syrup, to taste
Tiny pinch of sea salt
3 ice cubes

Steps:

  • Use a big spoon to scoop the flesh of the cantaloupe from the skin. Place everything but the ice in the blender and blend until smooth. Add the ice and blend thoroughly.
  • Pour into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a lime round.

This is a very refreshing drink my mother made for me a lot when I was a child. It may seem a little strange, but if you like cantaloupe, try it! Great on a hot summer day!

1 cantaloupe, halved and seeded
½ cup white sugar, or more to taste
2 cups milk
6 cups cold water, or more as needed

Steps:

  • Shred the cantaloupe into a large pitcher using a fork, making sure to catch all the juice and pulp. Stir in the sugar, mashing any large pieces of cantaloupe. Stir in the milk and water, adding enough to fill the pitcher. Serve cold.
