3/4 cup butter, melted
2 cups sugar
4 large eggs, room temperature
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup baking cocoa
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 Snickers bars (2.07 ounces each), cut into 1/4-inch pieces
3 plain milk chocolate candy bars (1.55 ounces each), coarsely chopped

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. In a small bowl, combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; set aside 1/4 cup. Stir remaining dry ingredients into the egg mixture until well combined. Toss Snickers pieces with reserved flour mixture; stir into batter. , Transfer to a greased 13x9-in. baking pan. Sprinkle with milk chocolate candy bar pieces. Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean (do not overbake). Cool on a wire rack. Chill before cutting.

1 13 x9 inch size brownie mix
Ingredients called for in brownie mix instructions
Assorted fun size or chopped up candy bars

Steps:

  • Line a 9x9 (or 8x8) inch pan with foil. Spray lightly with cooking spray. Place a number of unwrapped candy bars into the bottom of the pan, leaving room between for brownie batter to fill in. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions. Pour brownie batter onto candy in pan, then place another layer of candy on the top of the brownie batter. Bake according to brownie mix directions. Allow to cool completely, cut and serve.

1/2 cup baking cocoa
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 jar (7 ounces) marshmallow creme
1 cup creamy peanut butter
2 cups (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
3 cups crisp rice cereal

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour, cocoa and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture until blended., Spread into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. Bake at 350° for 24-28 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean (do not overbake). Cool in pan on a wire rack. Spread marshmallow creme over cooled brownies., In a small saucepan, melt peanut butter and chocolate chips over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from the heat; stir in cereal. Spread over top. Refrigerate until set. Cut into bars.

Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on brownie mix box
1 cup Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy chocolate frosting (from 16-oz container)
1/2 cup peanut butter candy in a crunchy shell
3 1/2 cups Count Chocula™ cereal
2/3 cup creamy peanut butter
1 1/3 cups (8 oz) semisweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Line 9-inch square pan with foil; spray cooking spray on bottom only of foil.
  • Make and bake brownies as directed on box for 9-inch pan. Cool completely, about 1 hour. Frost brownies with frosting. Sprinkle with peanut butter candies; refrigerate while making cereal mixture.
  • In medium bowl, measure 3 cups of the cereal; set aside. In 1-quart saucepan, melt peanut butter and chocolate chips over low heat, stirring constantly. Pour over cereal in bowl, stirring until evenly coated. Spread over frosted brownies.
  • Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cereal, slightly pressing on top. Refrigerate about 1 hour or until set before cutting. For bars, cut into 4 rows by 4 rows.

I would eat this recipe alone just for the topping. I usually save time by buying a brownie mix and baking it according to package directions. Then I add the good "stuff". There are enough regular brownie recipes on this site that I will not include the one that came with this recipe. I hear that this recipe is good for any time of the day, including breakfast : )

14 1/4 ounces brownie mix, of your choice for 9x13 pan
7 ounces marshmallow creme (I always need more than this on mine)
1 cup creamy peanut butter
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
3 cups Rice Krispies

Steps:

  • Bake brownies in a 9x13 pan.
  • Cool brownies.
  • Spread marshmallow creme over brownies. (I find this hard to do so usually use a spreading knife and my fingers).
  • In saucepan, melt peanut butter and chocolate chips over low heat.
  • Mix in cereal and spread over marshmallow layer.
  • Chill in refrigerator.

20 fun size Nestle Crunch bars, unwrapped
2/3 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/3 cup peanut butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup peanut butter

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 13x9 pan with cooking spray. For the brownie layer, mix 1/2 cup melted butter, 1/2 cup sugar, 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a large bowl. Add flour and cocoa and mix just until combined. Carefully spread over the prepared pan and bake about 8-9 minutes, just until it starts to set. While it is baking, make sure your candy bars are unwrapped and prepare the peanut butter layer: Mix together brown sugar, butter, 1/3 cup peanut butter, vanilla and eggs. Add flour, baking powder and salt and stir until combined. When brownies come out of the oven, place the candy bars on top, trying to cover as much as possible (if you've got more, you can use them!). Then carefully spoon over the peanut butter layer and try to spread it so that the chocolate is covered - it can be a bit tricky, just remember that it doesn't have to be perfect because you're going to cover it later. Bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until it starts to appear golden brown. Immediately spoon peanut butter over the top in about 6 dollops and then sprinkle with the chocolate chips. Allow to sit for a few minutes and then spread with a spatula, mixing the melted chocolate and the peanut butter to cover the whole thing. Cool completely before serving. You can even place it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to help the top to cool and solidify.
