Broccoli cauliflower salad is loaded with flavor. This salad is full of sweet, salty and tangy flavors. This salad is super easy and quick to make and is perfect for a side dish, light meal, picnic or potluck.

.75 lbs Broccoli florets (cut into bite sized pieces)
.75 lbs cauliflower florets (cut into bite sized pieces)
1/4 cup Red onion
1/4 cup Craisins
3 tbsp red wine vinegar
1 cup mayonnaise
1 tbsp Sugar (optional)
1 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup crumbled bacon

Steps:

  • Combine the mayonnaise, vinegar, and sugar in a bowl and whisk until smooth.
  • In a large bowl, add the broccoli, cauliflower, onion, craisins and dressing and toss to coat.
  • Add the sunflower seeds and bacon and toss again gently to distribute.
  • Serve chilled. Enjoy!

  • In a serving bowl, combine broccoli, raisins, and red onion.

2 medium head fresh broccoli, washed and trimmed (do not use frozen)
1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped
1/2 lb bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 cup roasted cashews (or roasted sunflower seeds)
1/2 cup canned mandarin orange segments, chopped and drained (or raisins)
1 1/4 cups grated mozzarella cheese (optional)
3 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3/4 cup good quality mayonnaise (such as Hellman's or Best Foods)
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Chop the broccoli into bite-sized florets.
  • Mix together broccoli, red onion, bacon, cashews, mandarin oranges, and mozzarella (if using) in a large bowl.

1/2 c raisins
1/2 c red onion chopped
3/4 c mayonnaise
1/4 c sugar
1/4 c sour cream
2 T lemon juice

Steps:

  • In a large salad bowl, place broccoli, bacon, mushrooms, sunflower kernels, raisins, and onion. Gently toss. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, stir mayo, sugar, sour cream, and lemon juice until blended. Pour over salad and toss until blended. Cover and chill 1 to 3 hours to blend flavors.
