JACKPOT COFFEE CAKE DIP

Ingredients

2 cups sour cream
2 cups vanilla yogurt
Zest of 1 lemon
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
5 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
2 cups chopped walnuts
1/2 cup chocolate chips or chunks

Steps:

For the dip: Stir together the sour cream, yogurt and lemon zest in a bowl. Set aside in the fridge.
For the streusel topping: Add the flour, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon and 1 cup of the walnuts to a microwave-safe bowl and stir until combined. Microwave, stopping every minute to stir, until the mixture darkens and starts to come together, about 4 minutes. Cool the streusel flat on a plate until slightly hardened, 5 to 8 minutes.
Add half of the dip to a large bowl, then sprinkle on the chocolate chips followed by a layer of the streusel. Add the remaining dip and smooth the top. Add the remaining streusel and 1 cup walnuts.

Anyone remember dunkaroos? This is like that only better. I usually make this for work parties...it's very easy and people are always asking me for the recipe. I suggest using funfetti cake mix. I typically serve this with animal crackers and assorted fruit.

15 ounces vanilla cake mix (standard box size)
12 ounces low-fat vanilla yogurt
8 ounces Cool Whip
2 tablespoons candy sprinkles, for decorating
1 (16 ounce) box animal crackers, for dipping

Steps:

Stir dry cake mix, cool whip, and yogurt together until well incorporated. Can add more yogurt and cool whip if you want the dip to be a thinner consistency.
Decorate with sprinkles or use funfetti cake mix.

In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, or in a large bowl with a hand mixer, beat the cream cheese on medium-high speed until smooth.
Reduce mixer speed to low and slowly add half of the heat-treated cake mix. Add half of the milk and and mix until combined. Add remaining cake mix and milk and increase mixer to medium speed to blend.
Reduce mixer speed again to low and add the powdered sugar. When all of the powdered sugar is in the bowl, increase mixer speed to medium and blend until completely combined.
Stir in sprinkles with a spatula. Serve with pretzels, graham crackers, cookies, or your favorite crunchy treat. Cake batter dip will stay fresh in an airtight container in the refrigerator2 up to 3 days.
