These spicy pretzels were a huge hit at my daughter's graduation party. The longer they sit, the spicier they get! -Gayle Zebo, Warren, Pennsylvania

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 cup canola oil
1 envelope ranch salad dressing mix
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 pound (12 cups) pretzel sticks

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the oil, dressing mix, garlic salt and cayenne. Divide pretzels between 2 ungreased 15x10x1-in. baking pans. Pour oil mixture over pretzels; stir to coat. , Bake at 200° for 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 hours or until golden brown, stirring occasionally. Cool completely. Store in an airtight container.

This is a NO BAKE recipe! You just stir until the oil is absorbed!

30 oz pretzels, (I used Old Dutch Holiday Pretzels but any pretzels will work.)
12 oz Orville Redenbacher's Butter Flavored Popcorn Oil
3 tbsp powdered ranch salad dressing mix
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp cajun seasoning
1/4 cup grated Parmesan

Steps:

  • Put the pretzels into a roasting pan.
  • Whisk together the oil, powdered ranch, garlic powder, and cajun seasoning.
  • Pour the mixture over the pretzels in the roasting pan and stir to coat.
  • Sprinkle with grated parmesan and stir to coat.
  • Stir the pretzels every 15 minutes for three hours, or until the oil is absorbed. (No need to turn the oven on!)

1 (16 ounce) package mini sourdough pretzels or sourdough pretzels, broken into bite size pieces
1 cup Mazola® Corn Oil
1 (1 ounce) packet ranch dressing mix
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
1 teaspoon Spice Islands® Cayenne Pepper
1 teaspoon Spice Islands® Dried Dill Weed

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 200 degrees F.
  • Place broken pretzels in a large baking pan or roaster. Combine corn oil, ranch dressing mix, Cajun seasoning, cayenne pepper and dill. Pour over pretzels; stir to coat evenly.
  • Bake for 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes. Remove from oven and drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Store in tightly covered container.

1 (1-pound) bag small pretzels
1 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon garlic salt ((or garlic powder if you're watching your sodium intake))
1 tablespoon dried dill weed
1 (1-ounce) package ranch dressing mix

Steps:

  • Pour the pretzels into a gallon-size zip top bag. In a small bowl stir together the oil, garlic salt, dill, and ranch dressing mix. Pour the mixture over the pretzels and seal the top. Shake to cover the pretzels in the seasoning. Allow the pretzels to marinate overnight, turning the bag 3 to 4 times to get everything coated.

  • Place pretzels in large baking dish. Coat with oil mixture. Stir. Bake uncovered, stirring every 15-20 minutes, for two hours or until toasted and crispy.
