This Chex Mix recipe is easy to make and brings together all the crunchy, salty and delicious buttery flavors with a hint of smoky spicy goodness! It's the perfect snack for sharing!

3 cups corn chex cereal
3 cups rice chex cereal
3 cups wheat chex cereal
1 cup mixed nuts
2 cups mini pretzels
2 cups plain bagel chips
1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, ((3/4 cup))
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon cayenne powder

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 250ºF. In large bowl, add the corn, rice, and wheat chex cereals, mixed nuts, mini pretzels and bagel chips. Set aside.
  • Place the butter in a small microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for 30 seconds to 1 minute, until the butter completely melts. Add the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, onion powder, chili powder, paprika and cayenne. Whisk together until combined. Pour the butter over the cereal mixture,
  • Pour the butter sauce over the cereal mixture and toss together until everything is evenly coated.
  • Spread the chex mix onto a large rimmed baking sheet and bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes to make sure everything crisps up evenly. Let cool slightly before eating.

2 cups cocktail peanuts or choice of peanuts
7 ounces ( about 2 cups ) sesame sticks
5 cups pretzels
3 cups cheese crackers
6 cups rice cereal such as Chex
7 ounces ( about 2 cups ) Cajun corn sticks ( or plain corn sticks )
1/2 cup corn nuts
5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 tablespoon Tony Chachere Creole Seasoning
1 teaspooon Tony Chachere Bold Creole Seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon paprika
2 teaspoons mustard powder
2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes
5 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper; set aside.In an extra large mixing bowl, combine peanuts, sesame sticks, cheese crackers, pretzels, rice cereal, corn sticks, and corn nuts. You may need to use 2 large bowls to mix everything. Melt butter in microwave; Toss butter together with snack mix, coating well.In a small bowl, whisk together seasoning blend. Pour over butter snack mix then toss together until evenly coated.Pour Cajun Chex Mix evenly between sheet pans.Bake in oven 30 minutes, rotating sheets halfway through baking and tossing mixture to evenly bake.Allow to cool completely. Garnish with additional grated parmesan cheese and dried parsley flakes. Store in airtight container or storage bags.

6 cups Goldfish cheddar crackers
6 cups pretzel sticks
3 cups Rice Chex
3 cups Corn Chex
1 can (11-1/2 ounces) mixed nuts
1 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 to 1 teaspoon celery salt
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 250°. In a large roasting pan, combine first five ingredients. Combine butter, garlic powder, celery salt, cayenne and pepper sauce; pour over cereal mixture and stir to coat. , Bake, uncovered, 35-40 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool completely. Store in airtight containers.

1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
1/2 teaspoon red cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
5 cups small pretzels
4 cups corn chips
4 cups Wheat Chex
4 cups Cheerios toasted oat cereal
3 cups mixed nuts or 3 cups peanuts

Steps:

  • Melt butter in medium saucepan.
  • Add everything but cereals, pretzels, cheerios and nuts to butter.
  • Heat to just below boiling.
  • Mix together cereals, pretzels and nuts in large roasting pan.
  • Pour butter mixture over gradually mixing all together.
  • Bake@ 300 degrees for 45 minutes stirring every 15 minutes.
  • Cool and store in plastic bags.
  • This freezes well.

1 tablespoon Blackened Seasoning
1 cup Mixed Nuts
3 cups Pretzels
3 cups Rice Chex Cereal
3 cups Corn Chex Cereal
3 cups Wheat Chex Cereal

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 250°.
  • Add butter to a large bowl, mix in Worcestershire sauce and blackened seasoning.
  • Add nuts, pretzels and Chex cereals to bowl.
  • Stir continually until well coated.
  • Spread onto a large baking sheet.
  • Bake for one hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  • Cool completely and store in an airtight container.
  • Alternately - cook on high in the microwave for 6 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool.

3 cups Corn Chex
3 cups Rice Chex
2 1/2 cups Wheat Chex
1 1/2 cups pretzels
1 1/2 cups Cheez-It crackers
1 cup roasted peanuts (unsalted)
1/2 cup butter
2 tablespoons cajun seasoning (I use Tone's)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce (Lea & Perrins)
4 -5 drops hot sauce, if desired

Steps:

  • preheat oven to 250F 2 rimmed sheet pans.
  • Place cereals, crackers, pretzels, and peanuts in a large microwave proof bowl.
  • Melt butter, add spices,worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce if using.
  • Mix well and pour over cereal mix. Stir to mix.
  • Microwave on high for 2 minute Stir well.
  • Microwave 2 minute Stir well.
  • Divide onto sheet pans, bake 20 minute.stir and rotate pans.
  • Bake 20 min, cool and enjoy!

They were enjoying the sweet mixes, so I was a little hesitant about the spicy choice, but one and all loved this one, too!

2 c corn chex
2 c rice chex
2 c wheat chex
2 c bite-size pretzels
2 c mixed nuts
1/3 c butter
2 Tbsp creole seasoning
1 tsp red pepper sauce

Steps:

  • 1. In large microwavable bowl, mix cereals, pretzels, and nuts.
  • 2. In 2-cup microwavable measuring cup, microwave butter uncovered on High about 40 seconds or until melted. Stir in Creole seasoning and pepper sauce. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated.
  • 3. Microwave uncovered on High 6 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes. Spread on waxed paper or foil to cool. Store in airtight container.
