BUTTER SWIM BISCUITS
I like to make these biscuits for breakfast and serve them with sausage and eggs because these butter swim biscuits are very quick and easy to make and they have a delicious taste, fantastic buttery aroma, and fluffy texture. I don't want to buy store-bought ones anymore.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 450°F.
- In a bowl, mix together all-purpose flour, baking powder, granulated sugar, and salt. Then, add buttermilk and mix until combined. The mixture will look like a moist dough.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter and pour into the square baking pan. Then, transfer a moist dough to the baking pan. Spread the dough evenly in a baking pan (it will be slightly covered with butter and it's OK). Then, cut a moist dough into 9 squares using a spatula or a knife. The dough squared will look like they are swimming in melted butter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes or until golden brown. Remove the baking pan from the oven and let the melted butter to absorb into the biscuits. Enjoy with sausages, eggs, honey, or jam!
BUTTER SWIM BISCUITS
These biscuits are literally swimming in butter prior to baking, hence the name. No need to butter them since they are buttery and fluffy. Perfect for breakfast or for dinner. Great use of pantry items during this stay-at-home order during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Steps:
- 1. This recipe is pretty simple. First, mix all of the dry ingredients together (flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder) and stir until they're evenly combined. After all the dry ingredients are mixed well, add the buttermilk. If you do not have buttermilk on hand, you can make your own by mixing 2 c regular milk with 2 tbsp white vinegar or lemon juice and let stand for 5 minutes. Of course, you'll only use 1 3/4 c though. Now, mix all of the ingredients together until they form a ball. Next, melt the stick of butter in a microwave safe bowl and pour it into the bottom of a 9×9 pan. Then, add your dough and press it out until it reaches the sides of the pan. You'll want to cut the biscuits so that you come out with 9, then you may have to go over them again. They turn out really rustic. Bake at 450 for 20-25 minutes until they're nice and brown on top.

SWIMMING IN BUTTER BISCUITS
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees. In an 8 x 11 baking dish pour and spread evenly melted butter and set aside.NOTE: Try not to use a smaller baking dish, as the butter may drip out of the edges into oven causing smoke or a fire. The 8 x 11 is a perfect size. If you use a 9 x 13 it's ok and the biscuits will come out thinner.
- In a large bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, salt & sugar.NOTE: If you use self rising flour you will not need baking powder and salt as it is already in the self rising flour.
- Slowly add in buttermilk until all well combined. Dough will be sticky somewhat.NOTE: to make buttermilk, place 1 TBS of vinegar or lemon juice into a large 2 cup measuring cup. Pour in regular milk up to the 1 1/2 cup line. Stir and let sit for 5 minutes.
- Dollop the dough on top of the butter and smooth out to the edges of dish. Take a bread knife or steak knife and cut lines in the dough to make 12 biscuit.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown on tops of biscuits. Allow to rest for 5 minutes, cut biscuits shapes and enjoy.
