EASY GLAZED PORK CHOPS RECIPE BY TASTY

Easy Glazed Pork Chops Recipe by Tasty image

Here's what you need: thick-cut pork chops, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, brown sugar, olive oil

Provided by Tasty

Categories     Dinner

Yield 4 servings

Number Of Ingredients 8

4 thick-cut pork chops
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons brown sugar
olive oil, for frying

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine your spices (paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt).
  • Rub the pork chops in the spices generously.
  • Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium/high heat. When the oil is hot, add the pork chops. Cook for about 3-5 minutes on each side or until they have a nice caramelized brownness to them. Once you feel that they are looking browned, add a Tablespoon of brown sugar to each pork chop. Turn each pork chop over, so both sides get some melted brown sugar. (Don't add the brown sugar too early or else the sugar will burn and smoke up the room.)
  • Bake at 350˚F (175˚C) for 15 minutes, making sure the pork chops are cooked through.
  • Before serving, pour the glaze that's formed in the pan over the chops. Serve with your vegetables of choice.
  • Enjoy!

BROWN SUGAR ROASTED PORK LOIN

Brown Sugar Roasted Pork Loin image

This super simple Brown Sugar Roasted Pork Loin is tender and juicy with a sweet and spicy brown sugar coating!

Provided by Beth - Budget Bytes

Categories     Dinner     Main Course

Time 1h15m

Number Of Ingredients 8

4 lbs. pork loin ($7.92)
½ cup brown sugar ($0.32)
1 tsp cayenne pepper ($0.10*)
1 tsp garlic powder ($0.10)
1 tsp paprika ($0.10)
1 tsp salt ($0.05)
½ tsp freshly cracked black pepper ($0.05)
3 Tbsp olive oil ($0.48)

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400ºF. In a bowl, combine the brown sugar, cayenne, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and olive oil.
  • Place the pork loin on a parchment lined baking sheet or in a large casserole dish with the fat cap facing up. Begin packing the brown sugar and spice mixture all over the surface of the pork loin (no need to get the bottom). The moisture from the pork loin should help the sugar mixture stick to the surface.
  • Transfer the pork loin to the oven. Roast at 400ºF for ten minutes, then reduce the heat to 350ºF and continue to roast for about 15 minutes per pound of roast, or until the internal temperature reaches 145ºF. Always use a meat thermometer just to be sure.
  • After roasting, let the pork loin rest for 10 minutes before slicing into ½-inch thick slices and serving.

Yield 4 servings

Number Of Ingredients 26

2/3 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup seasoning salt
2 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary leaves
1 tablespoon chopped fresh sage leaves
1 whole pork loin chop, excess fat removed
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup minced fresh garlic
4 to 8 rib pork loin
2 cups Mushroom Ragout Sauce, recipe follows
2 cups mashed potatoes (your favorite recipe)
2 tablespoons candied pecans
1 tablespoon blue cheese crumbles, for garnish
1 teaspoon chopped fresh mint leaves, for garnish
2 tablespoons diced pancetta
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup julienned yellow onions
1/2 tablespoon chopped shallots
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1/4-pound portobello mushrooms, chopped
1/4-pound oyster mushrooms, torn by hand
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup chicken demi-glace
1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary leaves
1 tablespoon diced Roma tomatoes
1 tablespoon whole butter

Steps:

  • Mix sugar, salt, and herbs in dry stainless steel bowl. Rub pork loin with olive oil and garlic, then massage the brown sugar and herb mixture into the meat. Let the pork loin marinate overnight in the refrigerator.
  • Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.
  • Remove pork from the refrigerator and coat it with the excess marinade in the bottom of the pan. Transfer to the oven and cook until the internal temperature measures 145 degrees F on a meat thermometer. Remove from heat and let rest, tented with foil, for 20 minutes; the internal temperature should rise to about 150 degrees F.
  • While pork is roasting, make Mushroom Ragout Sauce.
  • When ready to serve, slice pork as desired. For each serving, spoon 1/2 cup mashed potatoes in center of plate and sprinkle with candied pecans. Arrange pork on top of mashed potatoes and spoon 1/2 cup Mushroom Ragout onto each plate. Garnish with blue cheese crumbles and fresh mint and serve.
  • Render the pancetta in a braiser over medium heat until crisp. Add the olive oil, onions, and shallots. Cook until onions are starting to caramelize, and then add garlic and lemon zest and cook for a moment to release aromas. Add in mushrooms and saute until they break down, release their moisture, and liquid evaporates. Add Worcestershire and demi-glace. Stir in rosemary, tomatoes, and butter until incorporated.

BROWN SUGAR GLAZED PORK

Brown Sugar Glazed Pork image

I got this from Publix. I use pork chops instead of tenderloin. It's very quick and easy but i only get about two chops out of this mix. So, I double it or triple it depending on how many chops i make.

Provided by Chef Steelerfanatic

Categories     Pork

Time 25m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

3 fresh garlic cloves
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
2 teaspoons McCormick's Montreal Brand steak seasoning (I use liquid and i use Dales..any steak seasoning will do i think)
1 pork tenderloin (about 1 pound)
2 tablespoons butter, divided
1/4 cup red wine

Steps:

  • 1) Crush garlic, using garlic press, into medium bowl. Use knife to remove garlic from bottom of press. Stir in brown sugar and steak seasoning until well blended.
  • 2) Preheat large saute pan on medium heat 2-3 minutes. Cut pork diagonally into about eight 1-inch-thick slices. Place pork slices in bowl and press into mixture. Turn and press again to lightly season both sides (wash hands).
  • 3) Place 1 tablespoon of the butter in pan; swirl to coat. Add pork (wash hands); cook 5-6 minutes on each side or until well browned and internal temperature reaches 160 degrees (for medium). Use a meat thermometer to accurately ensure doneness.
  • 4) Remove pork from pan. Stir in wine and remaining 1 tablespoon butter; simmer one minute, stirring continually. Serve wine sauce with pork.

BROWN SUGAR GLAZED PORK LOIN CHOPS

Brown Sugar Glazed Pork Loin Chops image

This is an often-requested recipe in my home. The flavorful sauce tastes like you spent hours working on it, but it is one of the simplest dinner recipes that I prepare. I first came across the recipe in a Publix advertisement, but have tweaked it slightly.

Provided by sleepycat

Categories     Pork

Time 25m

Yield 3 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

3 fresh garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
2 teaspoons McCormick's Montreal Brand steak seasoning (can use reduced-sodium version)
3/4 lb pork loin chop
2 tablespoons butter, divided
1/4 cup red wine or 1/4 cup chianti wine

Steps:

  • Combine brown sugar, garlic, and Montreal steak seasoning. Divide mixture amongst the pork loin chops and press on both sides of each chop to season.
  • Place 1 tbsp of the butter in a saute' pan and melt on medium heat. After butter is melted, put chops in pan and brown slowly on both sides. Remove meat from heat.
  • Add remaining 1 tbsp of butter to pan and let melt. Mix with remaining garlic and brown sugar bits left from browning meat. Add wine. Bring to a boil and let simmer down to make a nice glaze. You can add meat back and keep spooning liquid mixture over meat or leave meat out of the pan and pour finished glaze over to serve.
  • * This can easily be doubled. I use 2 tbsp of butter to brown the chops, but only 1 tbsp of butter to make sauce.

BROWN SUGAR BAKED PORK CHOPS

Brown Sugar Baked Pork Chops image

A budget friendly and easy recipe that won't disappoint! These Brown Sugar Pork Chops have so much flavor and can be served with mash, veggies or salad.

Provided by The Seasoned Mom

Categories     Main Course

Time 25m

Number Of Ingredients 8

4 center-cut bone-in pork chops (3/4-inch to 1-inch thick, about 1 pound each)
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 ½ cups plus 2 tablespoons pineapple juice
1/3 cup honey
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon white vinegar
Salt and pepper (to taste)
Optional garnish: fresh parsley

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400F (200C).
  • In a large measuring cup or bowl, whisk together pineapple juice, honey, brown sugar, vinegar, a pinch of salt, and a pinch of pepper.
  • Season pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Heat about 2 teaspoons of olive oil in a large oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat for 1-2 minutes. Swirl to coat the pan. Add garlic and cook, stirring constantly, for about 1 more minute.
  • Add chops to the skillet and sear on both sides until brown (about 2-3 minutes per side). Remove chops to a plate and set aside.
  • Pour off fat from the pan. Add pineapple juice mixture to the pan and simmer over high heat for about 6-10 minutes, or until the glaze is reduced to about 1 cup. I like to use a wooden spoon to scrape up the bits from the bottom of the pan as I occasionally stir, which gives the glaze so much great flavor!
  • Add pork chops back to the skillet with the glaze, toss to coat, and place entire skillet in the oven. Bake chops for approximately 6-10 minutes (depending on the thickness of the chops) or until meat is cooked through (reaching an internal temperature of 145 degrees).
  • Allow the meat to rest for about 3-5 minutes and then garnish with fresh parsley just before serving.

Oil grates well with vegetable oil-soaked paper towels with tongs and place chops onto hot grates. Close lid and keep grill at about 350 degrees as best you can. Grill for 8-10 minutes, rotating (not turning) a half-turn once for cross-hatch grill marks and checking to make sure they aren't burning. (*Move to a cooler spot if they are. All grills cook differently and have hot spots.)
