FRIED BROCCOLI
This is a recipe I came up with when I was on the South Beach Diet. It is a very healthy recipe and my husband asks for it almost all the time.

Steps:
- Rinse and pat dry the broccoli.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, add the crushed red pepper and heat 1 minute. Cook and stir the broccoli in the skillet until it begins to get crispy, 5 to 7 minutes. Season with salt to serve.

BROCCOLI WITH FRIED ONION & GARLIC

Steps:
- Bring a large pan of water to the boil, add the broccoli and cook for 3-5 mins until just tender. Drain and set aside. Heat the oil in a large frying pan over a high heat, add the onion and fry for 2-3 mins until golden and starting to caramelise.
- Stir in the garlic and fry for 1 min more, then throw in the broccoli and cook for 2 mins until the broccoli is warmed through and coated in the onion and garlic.

BROCCOLI WITH GARLIC AND SOY SAUCE
Steps:
- Put the garlic cloves and oil in a small heavy-bottomed saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook uncovered over low heat for 10 to 15 minutes, until the garlic is browned and tender. Turn off the heat and add the red pepper flakes and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Immediately pour into a heat-proof container to stop the cooking. Allow to cool to room temperature.
- For the salad, blanch the broccoli florets in a large pot of boiling salted water for 2 to 3 minutes, until crisp-tender. Drain well and immerse immediately into a large bowl of ice water until the broccoli is cooled. This process stops the cooking and sets the bright green color. Drain well.
- In a large bowl, toss the broccoli with 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 cup of the oil used to cook the garlic, the soy sauce, and 8 or more cloves of cooked garlic. Taste for seasonings and serve cold or at room temperature.

STIR FRIED GARLIC BEEF WITH BROCCOLI

Steps:
- Slice the steak very thinly, the easiest way to do this is to have it half frozen when you slice it.
- Put sliced steak in a bowl with the sherry, soy sauce and the cornstarch, and a little salt, let it rest for 20 minutes.
- Put 2 tbsp oil in a skillet.
- Add garlic, stir fry for 1-2 minutes.
- add mushrooms stir fry 2 minutes.
- Remove and keep warm.
- put 2 tbsp of oil in the skillet and stir fry the beef until nicely browned, remove and keep warm.
- Add 1 tbsp oil and stir fry the green onions for 1 min, remove and keep warm.
- Pour in the chicken stock, heat to bubbling add Broccoli cover and steam for 3- 4 minutes.
- remove lid and put all the ingredient together.
- Heat through but do not over cook.
- Serve over rice or noodles.

- Place the bacon in a large stockpot and cook over medium-high heat until crispy, about 10 minutes. Add the onion and garlic; cook and stir until the onion caramelizes; about 10 minutes. Immediately stir in the cabbage and continue to cook and stir another 10 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika. - Fill a 6-qt. stockpot two-thirds full with water; add salt and bring to a boil over high heat.
