Steps:
- 1. Mix the water, sugar and yeast together in a measuring cup or in the bottom of your mixer. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- 2. Add the salt and the flour, one cup at a time, until it is well incorporated. Mix on high for 5 minutes. Let the dough rest for 5 minutes.
- 3. Melt the butter and pour half of it into a jelly roll pan (large cookie sheet).
- 4. Place the dough in the center of the pan. Let it sit for 2 or 3 minutes. Letting the dough rest makes it MUCH easier to shape.
- 5. Spread the dough out flat onto the pan until it reaches all of the edges. Doing all of the spreading and cutting of these bread sticks, in the pan makes cleaning up your counter so much easier!
- 6. Pour the other half of the butter onto the dough. Spread it around with your hands. Sprinkle the Johnny's Garlic Seasoning all over the dough, and then the Parmesan cheese.
- 7. With a pizza cutter cut the dough into three rows lengthwise, and then into about 12 little height wise rows.
- 8. Put the pan into a 170 degree oven for about 7-10 minutes. The breadsticks should rise about 1 inch.
- 9. Turn you oven up to 350 and bake for about 12 minutes, or until golden brown.
- 10. When they come out of the oven let them sit and rest again for about 5 minutes. Then redefine your cutting lines with the pizza cutter.
- 11. I use a pair of cooking scissors to cut the edges where the pizza cutter can't reach.
- That's it! They are wonderful. I have played around with a variety of things that can be put on the top. I will post those recipes in the days to come! Johnny's Garlic Spread seasoning is one in a million. I buy it at Costco, and keep several in my long term food storage. It's really great to have on hand. ENJOY!

- Use a glass measuring cup to measure 1 1/4 cups of warm water. Pour in the yeast and sugar. Mix and set aside for 10 minutes or until a layer of foam appears.
- Combine flour and salt in a large bowl. Make a well in the middle of the flour and pour in the butter and the yeast mixture. Using a spatula or wooden spoon, start folding in the flour. Mix until all the flour is folded in and you can form a dough ball.

- Preheat oven to 400. Combine butter and crushed garlic. Set Aside. Line a cookie sheet with parchment.
- Put cheese in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave one minute. Stir. Microwave 30 seconds. Stir. At this point, all the cheese should be melted. Microwave 30 more seconds until uniform and gloopy (it should look like cheese fondue at this point). Mix in the egg and dry ingredients. You will need to dump it onto wax paper and knead it by hand to thoroughly incorporate the ingredients or you can do this in a food processor with the dough blade.
- Press into a big rectangle on parchment paper (it helps to wet your hands). Cut into 8 long strips. Cut each strip into 3 smaller strips. You will end up with 24 strips of dough. Attach the tops of 3 strips. Braid the dough. Attach the bottoms and tuck under. Put the braid on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Continue to make 8 braided breadsticks.

- Mix together the 1 1/2 c warm water, 1 tbsp yeast and 2 tbsp sugar in your Kitchen Aid or Bosch bowl. Let sit for about 5 minutes (or until it becomes frothy).
- Add 1 tsp salt and 4 cups flour to your mixer bowl. I like to add the first 2 cups of flour and then slowly add the additional tow cups. If needed add a little over. You want the dough to pull away from the sides of the mixture and not be super sticky.Let the dough rise for 15-20 minutes.
- Take 8 tablespoons of butter and disburse it around a 12x17 Jelly Roll pan and place in the oven for a few minutes to melt the butter the oven.
- After the dough has risen for 15-20 minutes, place it onto a floured countertop and roll it out with a rolling pin a little bit smaller then your jelly roll pan.Use a pizza cutter, to then cut the dough into breadsticks. I like mine about 1.5" wide approx.
